Sometimes, while traveling, camping or hiking, you realize that you really want to go to the toilet. Unfortunately, the more you want to go to the toilet, the further away it is. At times like this, we have no choice but to use Mother Nature's "comforts". This article will guide women how to urinate while outside.

Method 1 of 3: Find a place to urinate

1. 

   Keep the privacy in mind. You may not mind if someone sees you while you're "doing", but the other person will feel guilty. Try to find a bush, a big tree, or a rock that you can hide behind. Avoid getting in inside a large bush; Plants are often home to pests and spiders.

   Limit urination outside in public places. Try to find some kind of female restroom. If you find a men's toilet, then surely a women's toilet is nearby. Most cities prohibit urinating in public, which could cause you to appear in court or even worse.
   • If you really have to go, try to find a place behind a lot of bushes and no one can see. Another option is to face a wall in an alley or behind a building. For safety reasons, it is advisable to have a friend with you, especially if at night or you are in an unsafe area,

   Choose soft soil, rather than hard ground. Soft surfaces like grass and conifers absorb urine more easily than hard surfaces. This will prevent the urine from bouncing back into the body.

   If possible, avoid slopes. If you have to urinate on a steep surface, face the slope facing down. This way, urine will flow away from you, not back towards you.

   Look for a place at least 60 meters away from water sources, trails, and campsites. If you urinate too close to these places, you run the risk of contaminating the water and diffusing germs.

Method 2 of 3: Outdoor urination

1. 

   Take off your clothes and underwear. Wearing wet clothes is not only uncomfortable, but can also lead to infection. Once your skirt, blouse, shorts, or pants are removed, pull your underwear down the middle of your thighs.
   • If you are wearing a skirt or dress, pull the hem of the skirt up to the waist. If the dress or dress is too long and has a lot of fabric, roll everything forward. Don't let the fabric hang out behind you.
   • If you are wearing shorts or pants, first unbutton your pants and zip them down. Then, slip the pants down across the thighs. Don't pull your pants below your knees, or they will get wet. It's also a good idea to roll up the leggings.

   Try the last pose or squat. Place your feet slightly wider than shoulder width apart and squat down. Keep your balance by leaning forward. Your genital area will be behind your underwear and pants / shorts (if you wear them).

Kneel on the ground, place the water bottle between your legs, and pee inside the bottle. Make sure the bottle is labeled and do not use it for any other purpose.

   Always blot the genital area dry. If you do not dry your vulva, you will likely get an infection. You can use wet paper towels, paper towels, toilet paper or even "urinal wipes."

Method 3 of 3: Use a female standing urinal

Some shops selling backpacks and camping equipment also sell them. They look like funnels with their heads sloping down.

   Practice with equipment before carrying it. Before bringing the urinal with you on a camping trip or event, you should try it out in the bathroom. You may have to use it a few times to get used to it. The last thing you want is to fiddle with the first use of your trip and then end up dripping and splashing the urine.

   Unscrew the pants or lift up the skirt to make it neat. Although it can aid you to urinate standing up, you must still apply the tool to your genitals.

   Slip your underwear aside. Hold your underwear by lifting the hem of your pants toward your thighs. If you are wearing a pair of pants that are slightly tight, you will need to pull the pants slightly lower so that the funnel mouth covers your genitals.

   Apply the tool to the genital area. Press the mouth of the funnel into your body. The spout has a pointed tip outward towards the ground and away from your feet. You need to tilt the urinal lower than the back of the funnel.

   Know how to clean up after urinating. Make sure you pat your vulva dry, or you could get an infection. If you have water, you should rinse your tools off immediately. If there is no water, put the tool in the zipper bag (or the holder that came with the tool), and rinse after.
