This article shows you how to download videos for free from most websites. While there's no single way to download videos on every website, with a few different ways you can download almost any video from any website. If you want to download a video from Facebook, the operation will be slightly different from most video download tools.

Method 1 of 4: Use an online tool

1.

   Type quicktime Go to Spotlight to find the Quicktime app on your Mac.

   Click QuickTime at the top of Spotlight's search list to open the QuickTime window.

   Click the menu File (File) in the upper left corner of the screen to open a list of choices.

   Click New Screen Recording (New screen recording) near the top of the drop-down list File.

   Click on options ∨ to the right of the "Record" button to open a selection list.

   Click Built-In Microphone (Built-in microphone) to select your Mac's microphone as the input sound.

   Click the red and silver circular "Record" button below the Screen Recording toolbar to open the screen selection box.

    Select video. Click and drag from the top left corner to the bottom right of the video window.

    Click the "Play" button to open the video.

12. 

    Stop recording when the video ends. Click File (File), then select Stop Recording (Stop recording) in the selection list to save the recorded movie clip. advertisement
