• There is a risk of short circuit or electric shock if you remove the back cover while the phone is open.

Remove the SIM and memory card. While not required, it is recommended to ensure that heat blowing into the phone does not damage the SIM card or memory card.

• Insert the SIM removal tool or SIM stick into the hole of the corresponding size on the top left side of the phone. The SIM tray and memory card will pop out.

Blow hot steam on the back of Samsung Galaxy for about 2 minutes. The best way to do this is to use a hairdryer or hot blower, but avoid blowing in the same place for more than a second and have to constantly move the vents. The heat will melt the adhesive between the back cover and the inner phone case.

• To avoid damaging the phone, you need to direct the heat to the back cover and quickly move the wind throat up and down in a zigzag pattern.
• Or you can use a dedicated warm pack specifically for this purpose.

Insert the component pry into the gap at the connection between the front and rear covers of the Samsung Galaxy. You can use component pruning sticks, flattened screwdrivers, ATM cards of all kinds or any similar flat object.

• Our goal is to lift the back cover from above, not to pry open completely.

Insert a thin and flat tool into the top left or right of the phone. For example, you can use the plect guitar key or the ATM card. When you do, the back cover detaches slightly from the front frame.

• Make sure the prying tool is not metal, as the material can scratch or even damage the phone.

Insert the pry tool into the reverse side of the phone. As such, the bottom of the back cover, as well as the left and right edges will be separated from the front frame of the phone.

• You can add more heat if needed.

Pry the back cover up and take it out. The rest is not a problem as the adhesive on the top is where the back cover is fixed.

• You can add more heat or slide the pry tool along the top edge of the phone to make the process easier.
• Keep the back cover in a warm, dry place to ensure that the internal component will not be damaged when you attach the back cover to the phone.

Method 2 of 2: With Samsung Galaxy S to S5

1. 

   Power off the phone. To proceed, hold down the screen lock button and tap the option Power off pop up in the menu, then select POWER OFF (or OK) when the prompt appears for confirmation.
   • There is a risk of short circuit or electric shock if you remove the back cover while the phone is open.

2. 

   Find the back cover release slot. Depending on the phone model, the position of this slot will vary slightly:
   • With the S4 and S5 series - Located in the upper left corner of the back cover.
   • For S2 and S3 series - Located on the top edge of the back cover.
   • With S series - Located on the lower edge of the back cover.

3. 

   Insert the nail into the slot. You can also use a flattened screwdriver, a guitar plucking fret or a similar thin tool, but be sure to do it gently.

4. 

   Gently pry the back cover towards you. The back cover will detach from the phone frame.

5. 

   Remove the back cover from the phone. After holding the chassis firmly, remove the back cover from the phone, you should now see the battery and SIM card inside.
   • Note: keep the back cover in a dry and warm place to ensure that the internal component is not damaged when you attach the back cover to the phone.

Advice

• You can remove the Samsung Galaxy tablet back cover by removing the safety latch from the screw on the back of the device, then using a screwdriver to secure the back cover of the tablet.

• If you remove the back cover incorrectly, your phone may be denied warranty or be permanently damaged. Take extreme care when removing the back cover of the phone.
