Steps

Method 1 of 2: Turn off pre-installed apps

1. 

   Open Settings.

2. 

   
   
   Touch Applications (Application). If the Settings menu is titled at the top, you must first tap on the "Devices" heading.

   Touch Application Manager (Application Manager).

4. 

   Tap "All".

5. 

   
   
   Tap the app you want to hide.

6. 

   Touch Disable (Turn off). This step helps to hide your apps from the home screen (Home screen).
   • If the app is not a pre-installed application, the option may be written as "Uninstall".
   • You can find disabled apps in the "Disabled" section of the Apps menu.

Method 2 of 2: Use an application that has the application hiding feature

1. 

   Open Google Play Store.

2. 

   Tap the magnifying glass icon.

3. 

   Type in a third-party Launcher name. Some of the popular Launcher allows to hide apps like "Nova Launcher Prime" or "Apex Launcher".

4. 

   Touch Go (Search).

5. 

   Carefully review the search results. Often times you will want to choose an app that gets a lot of reviews and reviews.

6. 

   Tap the selected app.

7. 

   Touch Install (Installation) or Buy (Buy). This button is located in the upper right of the screen.
   • You may need authentication if the app is not free.

8. 

   Touch Accept (Accepted) when asked. Immediately after, the application download will begin.

9. 

   Touch Open (Open). This button will appear in the Google Play Store once the app download is complete.
   • You can also open an app from the app tray (App drawer).

    Follow the instructions on the screen. Since the Launcher apps often have different characteristics, the implementation process is a bit different as below.
    • If using Nova Launcher, you need to tap App & Widget Drawers (Widget & apps tray) then tap Hide Apps (Hide apps), then check the apps you want to hide.
    • If using Apex Launcher, users need to touch Apex Settings (Install Apex) then tap Drawer Settings (Application tray settings), then touch Hidden Apps (Hidden applications) before checking the applications you want to hide.

11. 

    Close Launcher. The selected apps will now be hidden. advertisement

• The "Applications" section of Settings may also be called "Apps" in some operating systems.

• Third-party launchers can dramatically decrease the speed of your phone.
