While it may give you more control with your device, jailbreaking often leaves your device out of warranty and becomes extremely troublesome to repair. Luckily, you can unroot most devices quickly with just a few simple steps. In the case of Samsung Galaxy, things are a bit more complicated but with the right tool, it will still only take you a few minutes.

Method 1 of 3: Self unlocking

1. 

   Open the lock file manager on your device. Play Store has many file managers that you can use to open locked files on your Android device. Popular managers include Root Browser, ES File Explorer and X-Plore File Manager.

   Find and tap.

3. 

   Find and delete file names. You can hold down the file and then select "Delete" from the pop-up menu. Depending on how the device is jailbroken, there might not be any files.

5. 

   Delete the file you find.

   Find and tap.

7. 

   Delete files.

8. 

   Reboot the device.
   • With this method, your device will probably be unlocked after reboot. You can confirm this by downloading and running the Root Checker jailbreak test app from Play Store.

Method 2 of 3: Use SuperSU

1. 

   Open the SuperSU app. If your device doesn't have a custom recovery backup installed, you can unlock it using SuperSU.

2. 

   Click the "Settings" tab.

3. 

   Scroll down to the "Cleanup" section.

4. 

   Click "Full unroot".

5. 

   Read the confirmation request and click "Continue".

6. 

   Restart your device when SuperSU is closed.
   • For most devices, doing so will get them out of jailbreak mode. Some custom OS backups will automatically restart the device on boot, disabling this method.

   If that fails, please use the unlock app. The Universal unroot app available on the Play Store can unlock multiple Android devices. Even though it costs 20,000 VND, this software can be very useful. However, it cannot be used for Samsung devices (See next section). advertisement

Method 3 of 3: Unbreak Samsung Galaxy

1. 

   Get the original operating system for your device. To unlock your Galaxy device, you'll need the original device and carrier operating system. You can find them in many places online. Use the search engine, type in the model name of the Galaxy, the carrier and the phrase "original operating system". Extract it after downloading and find the file.
   • Note: This method will not reset the KNOX counter, which is a way for Samsung to determine if your device has been cracked or modified. At this point, there is a way to crack without making the KNOX counter jump. However, if the device was unlocked using older methods, it would be impossible to reset the counter.

2. 

   Download and install Odin3. This is an Android development tool that allows you to push the native operating system from your computer to your Android device. You can find the installation file at Odin's XDA page here.

3. 

   Download and install Samsung drivers. If you haven't connected your device to your computer before, you'll need to install Samsung USB drivers. The fastest way is to download it from Samsung here. Download the ZIP file, double click to open and unzip the installation file. Run the setup file to install the drivers.

4. 

   Turn off the device. You will have to reboot in special mode.

5. 

   Hold down the volume down button, the Home button, and the power button. Your device will start up in Download mode. Connect to a computer with a USB port.

6. 

   Run Odin3. A green box will appear to the left of the "ID: COM" section. If you don't see it, your Samsung USB driver is not properly installed.

7. 

   Press the button .PDA on Odin3. Open the downloaded original operating system file.

8. 

   Check the box "AP or PDA" (AP or PDA) and the box "Auto Reboot". Make sure any other boxes are unchecked.

9. 

   Press the button .Start (Start) to start the unlocking process. It may take 5-10 minutes. When finished, you should see "PASS!" (Done) in the top box of Odin 3. Your Galaxy will boot with the normal TouchWiz operating system.

10. 

    Factory reset to factory reset. If, after opening, the phone does not stop automatically restarting, you need to perform a factory reset. This will delete everything on the phone.
    • Hold down the power button to turn off the device.
    • Hold down the volume up button, home button and power button to boot with the Recovery menu.
    • Use the volume buttons to select "wipe data / factory reset" and press the power button to select.
    • Select "wipe data partition" and then select "reboot system now" (reboot the system now. Your Galaxy will reboot, erase all data and return to factory settings. export.
