This article will show you how to sign out of the mobile version of the Instagram app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device, and also how to sign out of your Instagram account on the Instagram website (on your computer).

Method 1 of 2: On a mobile device

1. 1 Open Instagram. To do this, click on the Instagram app icon, which looks like a multicolored camera.
2. 2 Tap the profile icon . It looks like a silhouette of a person and is located in the lower right corner of the screen.
   • If you are logged into several accounts at once, click on your profile picture in the lower right corner.
3. 3 Tap the three horizontal bars icon (☰) in the upper right corner of the screen.
4. 4 Open the Settings menu. To do this, click on the gear icon (iPhone) or three dots ⋮ (Android) at the bottom of the menu.
5. 5 Scroll down and tap Exit. It's at the bottom of the menu.
   • If you are logged into several accounts at once, the screen will display two options: "Sign out of [username]" and "Sign out of all accounts". Select the option you want.
6. 6 Tap Remember or Not now. When prompted, select one of the options provided. Click “Remember” to sign in to your account without entering a password, or “Not now” to prevent your Instagram login credentials from being saved on the device.
   • On an Android device, uncheck the "Remember my credentials" option if you don't want your Instagram login credentials to be stored on the device.
   • If you don't see the "Remember" option, you can delete your credentials when you sign out of Instagram.
7. 7 Click on Go outwhen prompted. This will log you out of the mobile version of the Instagram app.
   • On an Android device, tap Sign Out in the lower-right corner of the pop-up window.
8. 8 Remove credentials. If you don't want to sign in to your Instagram account without entering your username and password, under the Sign In button, click Delete, and then click Delete again when prompted.
   • If you have multiple accounts, tap Manage Accounts (below the list of accounts), tap the X to the right of the account, and then tap Delete when prompted.

Method 2 of 2: On a computer

1. 1 Open the Instagram website. Go to https://www.instagram.com/ in your browser. The Instagram home page will open.
2. 2 Click on your profile icon . It's in the upper right corner of the page.
3. 3 Click "Settings" . You will find this option at the top right side of the page. A pop-up menu will open.
4. 4 Click on Exit. It's in the middle of the pop-up menu. You will leave the Instagram site on your computer.
   • Instagram will remember your credentials unless you clear your browser history and disable saving your password.
