Scrabble is a challenging game and it can be frustrating if you lose a lot. If you want to increase your chances of winning with Scrabble, there are a number of strategies you can use that may help you win more often. Of course you will still need to practice your Scrabble skills by playing a lot of Scrabble.

Part 1 of 3: Developing your Scrabble skills

1. Learn to use your board. By changing the order of the letter cubes on your board, you can find words to put, as well as prepositions, parts of words, and common letter combinations. If you are looking for words to put together, it is also useful to make sure that your remaining letter cubes are not mainly consonants or mainly vowels, or that you have several letter cubes of the same kind, so that you cannot easily find a word on your next turn. laying with high value.

3. Put as many words as possible parallel to each other. Often in Scrabble you can put your word along (or above or below) an already placed word and thus create a number of 2 or 3 letter words next to the word you placed first. The reward for a word that you put parallel to an already laid word can be quite large.

Part 2 of 3: Getting higher scores for words

1. Memorize words that score high in Scrabble by using letter cubes such as the J, Q, X and Z. Serious Scrabble players memorize lists of high-scoring words to increase their chances of winning. Some commonly used words are QED, EX, DEX, JUTE, JAT, ZON, ZEE and TJA. With these words you can score extremely high in the following games of Scrabble.
   • Try memorizing some of the high-value two-letter words, such as Yes, Qi, and Zo. These words are easier to remember because they are so short, but they are also great for quickly boosting your score.
2. Use "S" to earn points for your opponent's best words. While your opponent (s) may not be very happy with it, you can add "S" to a large number of words and earn points easily. This strategy works even better if the word is long, has a high value, or if the "S" is placed on a bonus space. While playing, look for opportunities to add an "S" to your opponent's word.
3. Extend words whenever and wherever possible. Compound words are also great ways to quickly increase your score on Scrabble. For example, if an opponent puts BAL and you have the letters before SOFT, you can put SOFT after BAL to create the compound word SOFTBAL. By playing these compound words you will increase your score and also your chance of winning the game.
4. Try to submit a bingo. A bingo is a word for which you can use all 7 letter cubes on your board in one turn. In addition to the points that you would normally score, you will receive an extra 50 points. It is not always easy to lay a bingo: look for 7-letter words on your board that you could put on the board, and also look for words of 8+ letters that you could put using letters that are already on the plate.

Part 3 of 3: Using advanced strategies

1. Explain words based on how you are doing. You can maintain or gain an edge by laying down certain types of words. When you're chasing your opponent (s), the best thing you can do is play words that make it easier to put new words and give you the opportunity to put better words. If you currently have the highest number of points, you should put words that make it difficult for your opponents to put new words and reduce their chances of making better words.
2. Block the way to bonus squares. Advanced Scrabble players always look ahead and think about what their opponents might do. Teach yourself to think about what your opponent might do when you put a certain word, and try to block bonus squares that your opponent might want to use on his or her turn for him or her.
   • Keep in mind that blocking your opponent may not always be possible, but doing it every time you can can help you stay ahead and win the game.
