This wikiHow teaches you how to rent or buy movies on YouTube, as well as how to find full movies on YouTube for free. You need the YouTube website to rent or buy the movies, but you can search for full movies on both the mobile and desktop versions of YouTube for free.

Method 1 of 2: Rent or buy movies

1. Open the YouTube website. Go to https://www.youtube.com/ in the browser of your computer. If you are already logged in, your YouTube landing page will open.
   • If you are not logged in yet, click on Sign Up in the top right corner of the page and enter your email address and password.
2. Click on the search button. It's at the top of the YouTube landing page.
3. Write youtube moviesthen press ↵ Enter. As a result, a search is made for the YouTube movie channels, where YouTube houses movies that can be borrowed or sold.
4. click on YouTube Films. This should be at the top of the results list. This channel's title is next to a filmstrip icon with a red background. Clicking on this will open the YouTube Movie channel.
5. Choose a movie to rent or buy. Click on a movie on the YouTube Movies landing page to open the preview window.
   • You can scroll down to see more movies.
6. Click on the price button. This is a blue button at the bottom and right of the movie preview window. This button usually says From price]. Then a pop-up window will appear.
   • If the film is not available for rental, you will only see the price on this button.
7. Select the quality. Click on the SD or HD button at the top of the pop-up window to select standard or high definition.
   • The standard definition usually costs a bit less for both rental and sale.
   • Some movies do not have this option.
8. click on RENT or TO BUY. You'll find both buttons at the bottom of the pop-up window.
   • If your movie is only available for purchase, you will see the option RENT not.
9. Enter your payment card details. You must enter your payment card number, expiration date and the name of the cardholder.
   • If your browser (or your Google account) has saved your card number, you only need to enter the three-digit security code.
10. click on TO BUY. This is the blue button at the bottom of the popup window. This will confirm your choice and rent or sell your selected film. You can watch the movie directly or you can open the movie by going to https://www.youtube.com/purchases/ and clicking the movie here.
    • You can also watch the movie on mobile devices where you are logged into the YouTube app with the same account by clicking the button Library to click, Purchases and select your movie.
    • click on TO BUY even if you only rent the movie.

Method 2 of 2: Find free movies

1. Open YouTube. Tap the YouTube app icon that resembles a white triangle with a red background (mobile) or go to https://www.youtube.com/ on your computer (desktop). This is how you open your YouTube landing page if you are logged in.
   • If you are not logged in, click Sign Up and then enter your email address and password before continuing.
2. Select the search bar. Click the magnifying glass icon (mobile) or click the search bar at the top of the page (desktop).
3. Enter the title of a movie. Write the title of the movie with the year, then press Search or press ↵ Enter. This will search for the movie in YouTube.
   • For example: to Alien: Covenant on YouTube, you write alien covenant 2017 in YouTube.
   • Remember, it is easier to find the full movie of an older and less popular movie than a new one on YouTube.
4. Check out the results. Scroll down and go through the results to see if you can find the full version of the movie you're looking for.
5. Select a movie. Click on a video that resembles the same movie as the one you are looking for. If you have a good internet connection, the movie will play.
   • You rarely find full-length movies on YouTube for free.

Tips

• After you rent a movie, you have 30 days to start watching it before the rental expires. Once you start watching the movie, you have 48 hours to finish it before it is removed.

Warnings

• Make sure not to download full-length movies that you find on YouTube for free as this could constitute piracy in your country.
