Has paint dripped onto your favorite shirt? Or have you been up against wet paint? No matter how paint got into the fabric, chances are you'll find the right way to remove the stain in this article. If you know that the paint has not dried or set into the fabric, act quickly. Dry paint is a lot more difficult to remove than paint that is still wet.

Method 1 of 3: Using hairspray

1. If the stain is still visible, pour some acetone on the right side of the fabric. Blot the stain with a clean sponge. Do not use acetone on fabrics containing acetate or triacetate.

Warnings

• Don't scrub the stain too hard. You can damage the fabric otherwise.
• Be careful with delicate fabrics.
