1. Consider adding adhesion to plastic. If you want to make sure your headlights are well protected and stay in top shape, you can have a mechanic add adhesion to plastic. This costs between 15 and 40 euros and ensures that your headlights will last a lot longer.

• There are also kits for polishing painted parts of the car. These consist of very fine sandpaper, with which you can give your headlights a great finish. This package often also contains a special polishing paste. The kits usually cost around 15 euros.
• Various kits are available for sanding and polishing aircraft windows, which are made of plastic. These are very suitable for working on headlights and often only cost a few euros.
• Use rubber gloves to protect your hands from the polish.
• If the UV layer of your headlights is affected, the lens of the headlight will have to be replaced. If you have knowledge of cars, you can do this yourself by removing the oxidized layer and then applying a new one yourself. You can also call in a technician for this.

Warnings

• If you choose to use the above method of cleaning your headlights, you will have to repeat it regularly. After all, the protective layer of the lamp has been removed, so you will have to update the lenses about once a month. If you don't like this, you can choose to have a new UV layer applied.
