If you are young and want to come across as a convincing elderly person, you can improve your costume or acting by getting started with make-up. Applying makeup to look older may seem complicated, but it's actually quite easy. You only need a few makeup products and tools to create an older looking face and you can achieve an elderly look in just a few minutes.

Part 1 of 3: Sharpen your facial features and create wrinkles

1. Get the materials. Before you start, you need to grab some special items. You need:
   • Foundation
   • Dark brown eyeshadow
   • Medium brown eyeshadow
   • Light brown eyeshadow
   • Make-up brushes and sponges
   • Matte pink or nude lipstick or lip pencil
   • Highlighter
2. Apply a layer of foundation. Start with a clean and dry face and then apply a coat of foundation all over your face. This way you create an even surface for the makeup for the elderly. Use some liquid foundation and fix it with a layer of translucent powder.
   • Apply the liquid make-up to your entire face with a make-up sponge, then blend the make-up with the same sponge.
   • Finish the layer of foundation with a layer of translucent powder.
3. Make crow's feet. Once you are done creating some basic wrinkles on your face, you can start strengthening the wrinkles around your eyes and nose. Start making crow's feet. You do this by drawing a few lines from the outer edge of your eyes outward.
   • Use eyeshadow or eyeliner to draw these lines. Stretch the lines and away from the eyes.
   • Pinch your eyes to identify the natural folds in your skin next to your eyes. You can then simply fill in these lines with eyeshadow or eyeliner.
   • Blur the lines gently.
4. Apply a coat of matte pink lipstick or lip pencil. Then you apply a layer of matte pink or nude lip color. This is how you create a surface for creating wrinkled lips. Apply a coat of lipstick or lip pencil of your choice.
   • Don't go beyond the lines of your lips. It's okay if your lips look a little thin.
5. Create wrinkles on your lips with a highlighter. Pucker up your lips and apply some highlighter to finish them off. Apply some highlighter to the areas of your pursed lips that stand out the most. Dab the highlighter on these areas with a brush or make-up sponge.
   • When you relax your lips, they should look wrinkled.
