This wikiHow teaches you how to delete your Uber account on a computer, phone, or tablet. Deleting your account also deletes your history of all rides you have taken with Uber. Deleting your Uber account (and with it your Uber Eats account) is the only way to delete your account history. Your account will be deactivated thirty days after you submit a delete request. If you do not log in again within these thirty days, your entire account, including the history of trips made, will be permanently deleted.

Method 1 of 2: Using the mobile app

1. Open the Uber app on your phone or tablet. The Uber app icon is a black block with the text "Uber" written on it in white letters. You can find it on your home screen or in the menu of downloaded apps.
   • If you have a driver account linked to your passenger account, this method will not delete your account. Instead, fill out the delete my driver account form to have your account deleted.
2. Tap the menu ☰. You can recognize the menu by the three horizontal lines in the top left corner of your screen.
3. Tap on Settings. This button can be found at the bottom of the menu.
4. Scroll down and tap Privacy. You can find this option almost at the bottom of the menu.
5. Tap on Delete your account. This is in red at the very bottom of the screen.
6. Enter your password and tap Confirm. If your password is approved, a message will appear saying "Sorry to leave us".
   • You will be directed to a page where you will see an overview of the number of cities where you have used Uber, how many rides you have made and your passenger rating.
7. Tap on Further to confirm your request. This is the black button at the bottom right of your screen.
8. Provide a reason for deleting your account. You can choose a reason from the list or choose for I'd rather not say that. A confirmation will appear.
9. Tap on remove to confirm your request. This will put your account on "deactivated" for thirty days. If you do not log in to your Uber account again within these 30 days, your account will be permanently deleted.

Method 2 of 2: Using the website

1. Go to https://www.uber.com/. If you are not logged in yet, click on the link login at the top right corner of the screen to log in. You can use a web browser on a computer as well as on a mobile phone for this.
   • If you have a driver account linked to your passenger account, this method will not delete your account. Instead, fill out the delete my driver account form to have your account deleted.
2. click on Help. This option can be found at the top right of the page.
3. click on More under "Account and Payment Options". The section "Account and payment options" can be found at the top left of the page.
4. Scroll down and click Delete my Uber account. This option is under the heading "Adjust my account settings".
5. click on Delete my Uber account. If you recently logged into your Uber account and confirmed your identity with a temporary code, your account will be deleted immediately. If you change your mind about deleting your account, please log in again within 30 days to reactivate your account.
   • If you have not recently confirmed your identity, you will see a popup asking you to do so now. You will receive a temporary code on your mobile phone for this. Follow the steps on the screen to verify your identity. After you have done this, your account will be deleted immediately.
