Sometimes programs you install on your computer can confuse certain Internet Explorer system files, causing Explorer to malfunction. Windows contains a program to solve this problem. Read here how.
To step
- click on Start> Settings> Control Panel> Add / Remove Programs.
- Select Internet Explorer from the list that appears.
- click on remove.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to uninstall Internet Explorer.
- At the end, you will be asked to restart the computer.
- Restart your computer.
Tips
- If you want to avoid problems with Internet Explorer, install Mozilla Firefox at http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
- Under Windows XP, the process is a bit more complicated than described above. Search Microsoft's site for support.
