Sometimes programs you install on your computer can confuse certain Internet Explorer system files, causing Explorer to malfunction. Windows contains a program to solve this problem. Read here how.

To step

1. click on Start> Settings> Control Panel> Add / Remove Programs.
2. Select Internet Explorer from the list that appears.
3. click on remove.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen to uninstall Internet Explorer.
5. At the end, you will be asked to restart the computer.
6. Restart your computer.

Tips

• If you want to avoid problems with Internet Explorer, install Mozilla Firefox at http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
• Under Windows XP, the process is a bit more complicated than described above. Search Microsoft's site for support.
