This article will teach you how to see what's in your Android device's clipboard. You can paste the contents of your clipboard to see what's in it, or you can download an external app from the Google Play Store to keep a log of everything you copy.

Method 1 of 2: Paste your clipboard

1. Open the text messaging app on your device. This is the app that allows you to send text messages to other phone numbers. This app may have different names, depending on your model, such as "Messages", "Text Messages" or "Android Messages".
   • If you're using a tablet, you can open an app that lets you take notes, send messages, or write text. If you can't find such an app, open your email app and use the text box of a new message, or open Google Drive and create a new document.
2. Start a new message. In your text messaging app, tap the "New Message" button to open a new blank message. This button usually looks like a + or as a pencil.
   • You can also open a new message in another chat app such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp or Google Hangouts.
3. Tap and hold the text field. This is the field on your screen where you can type your message. A menu will now appear.
   • On some devices, you will need to enter a recipient and tap "Next" before you can tap the text field.
4. Tap the Paste button. If you have something in your clipboard, you will see the "Paste" option in the menu. This will paste the contents of your clipboard into the text field.
5. Delete the message. Now that you know what's in the clipboard, you can delete the message. This way you can see what you have in your clipboard without sending the message to anyone.

Method 2 of 2: Using a clipboard app

1. Open the Google Play Store. The Play Store icon is a colored arrow in the list of apps on your device.
   • You must be connected to the internet to browse the Play Store.
2. Find and download a clipboard manager from the Play Store. With a clipboard manager you can keep track of what has been in your clipboard. You can browse the "Productivity" category in the App Store or use the search function at the top of your screen to find a free or paid clipboard app.
3. Open your clipboard manager. Find the clipboard app you downloaded in your apps list and tap it to open the app.
4. View your clipboard log in your clipboard manager. Your clipboard app has a list of everything you have copied to the clipboard.
   • Most clipboard apps, such as Clipboard Manager and aNdClip will open right away with the log from your clipboard. In other apps, such as Clipper, you must first tap the "Clipboard" tab at the top of the screen.
