In this article, we'll tell you how to resize an image with Microsoft Paint.
To step
- Open Paint by clicking Start> All Programs> Accessories> Paint.
Method 1 of 2: First method
- Open the file you want to edit.
- On the Home tab, in the Image group, click "Resize".
- To resize the image by a certain percentage, click Percentage and enter a percentage to reduce the width in the Horizontal box, or a percentage to reduce the height in the Vertical box. You can also get here by pressing Ctrl + W.
- click on OK.
- Click the Paint button, click "Save As," then click the photo file type for the resized image. Type a new file name in the File name box, then click Save.
Method 2 of 2: Second method
- Press Num Lock on your keyboard.
- Select the whole image with Ctrl + A.
- Hold down Control while you reduce or enlarge the image respectively with the - and + on your numeric keyboard.
Tips
- Resizing an image is useful for sending photos via email.
Warnings
- Resizing will degrade the quality of an image.
