Smoked pork chops are pork chops prepared in a smoker to enhance the flavor. Although pork chops come partially cooked, you will need to prepare them further so that they are safe to eat. Fortunately, you can easily prepare smoked pork chops, on your gas stove, on a grill or in the oven.

If you are in a hurry

To cook smoked pork chops on the gas stove, heat one tablespoon of cooking oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Then fry the chops in there, two minutes on each side. Then lower the heat and fry the chops for another minute. You can also grill the pork chops on a medium heat setting. Grill the chops on one side for four minutes, turn them up, then grill for another two minutes. If you prefer the smoked chops cooked in the oven, scroll down!

To step

Method 1 of 3: Prepare smoked pork chops on the gas stove

  1. Heat one tablespoon of cooking oil in a large saucepan. Place the burner under the pan over medium heat. Wait for the oil to smoke so you know it is hot enough.
  2. Prepare the smoked pork chops in the pan, fry for two minutes on each side. After four minutes, both sides of the chops should be browned.
  3. Reduce the heat and fry the cutlets for one minute. After one minute, check the temperature of the cutlets with a meat thermometer. The pork chops must be at least 63 degrees Celsius to be eaten safely. If they aren't by then, bake for another one or two minutes.
  4. Place the pork chops on a plate and serve. Watch out for the hot oil in the pan when you take out the pork chops. Let the cutlets cool for a few minutes before serving.

Method 2 of 3: Grilling smoked pork chops

  1. Turn on the grill and set it to medium heat. Make sure the cooking grates are clean before putting the smoked pork chops on them.
  2. Brush the grids with vegetable oil. This will prevent the chops from sticking to the grids. Brush the grids with a cooking brush.
    • If you don't have vegetable oil, use a different cooking oil, such as olive oil.
  3. Prepare the pork chops on the grill for two minutes. After two minutes, the bottoms of the chops should be browned.
  4. Turn the pork chops 90 degrees and grill for another two minutes. Rotating the chops causes them to have diamond-shaped grill marks.
    • If you don't want diamond-shaped grill marks on your chops, you can leave them as is and grill them for another two minutes.
  5. Turn the chops over and cook for another two minutes. After the two minutes, check the temperature of cutlets with a meat thermometer. If the chops are not at least 63 degrees, they are not safe to eat. Leave them on the grill for another one or two minutes until they reach a safe temperature.
  6. Move the pork chops to a plate to serve. Let the cutlets cool for a few minutes before serving.

Method 3 of 3: Roast roasted pork chops

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Place the oven rack in the center of the oven, if it isn't already there.
  2. Brown one side of the pork chops in a pan over medium heat. It should take three to four minutes for the chops to brown well on one side. When the chops start to smoke, lower the heat.
  3. Move the chops to a baking tray, browned side up. You do not have to grease the baking tray or put baking paper on it.
  4. Roast the pork chops in the oven for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, use a meat thermometer to check the temperature of the chops. The chops must be at least 63 degrees or they are not safe to eat.
    • You should leave the pork chops in the oven for a few more minutes if they are not at least 63 degrees.
  5. Move the pork chops from the baking sheet to a plate and serve. Cover the cutlets with icing or your favorite spices.
  6. Ready.
