If you don't want your hair getting wet in the shower, the easiest solution is to put on a shower cap. However, you may have worn out shower caps or forgot to bring one. Fortunately, you can easily make a shower cap yourself from a plastic bag and bobby pins. Start by creating a bun in your hair and pinning the loose hair. Then put the bag over your head and tighten it at the front. After you have attached the bag you are ready for your shower.

1. make a bun in your hair if it is long. Brush your hair back and make a bun in it. Then secure the bun with a hair clip or bobby pins. Make sure to make a tight bun so it doesn't come loose while showering.
2. Find a clean plastic bag with no holes in it. A plastic shopping bag of average size is very suitable for this. Check that the bag is clean and dry. Make sure there are no holes in the bag so that your hair does not get wet.
   • To test the bag for holes, blow in it and then close the top so that you get a balloon. Push the bag and see if you hear air escape. If not, the bag has no holes.
3. Make sure no hair is sticking out from under the bag. When you have made the shower cap, check again that your head and ears are completely covered. Tuck any loose hair under the bag and slide the bag into place if it has shifted. Now you are ready to take a shower.
   • Shake your head lightly a few times to test the bag. If it stays put, it should stay put while showering.
   • Secure loose pieces with bobby pins.

Tips

• For a nice scent, spray some perfume or eau de toilette into the bag.
• Discard the bag after two weeks if you are still using it. Mold can start to grow in it.
