The combinations of cards in poker are arranged in the order that shows the probability of a player getting a particular combination. The combination of the highest cards in poker is called strong hands. You can memorize card combinations for most poker variations using mnemonics. It is important to remember the ranking of the poker hands in order not to lose your winnings.

Steps

  1. 1 Memorize the lowest ranked poker hands 0, 1, 2, and 3.
    • 0: Highest (highest) card. You have 0 pairs, and the seniority of your hand depends on the seniority of your cards. Remember that the deuce is the lowest and the ace is the highest.
    • 1 pair. You have 2 cards of the same rank and different suits, for example, two of clubs and two of hearts.
    • 2: Two pairs. You have two pairs of cards of the same rank and different suits, for example, 2 hearts and 2 clubs, as well as 3 spades and 3 diamonds.
    • 3: Three of a kind. You have 3 cards of the same rank and different suits, for example, 4 clubs, 4 spades and 4 diamonds.
  2. 2 Straight. This combination is considered average in the rating. Straight is any five consecutive cards of different suits. For example, a straight can consist of 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of any suit, or it can be 10, jack, queen, king and ace of different suits.
  3. 3 Memorize the highest card combinations.
    • 5: Flash. It consists of 5 cards of the same suit in any order, for example 2, 6, 7, 9 and the jack of diamonds.
    • 9: Full House. This combination consists of a pair of cards of the same rank and three cards of another of the same rank.
    • 11: Kare. These are any four cards of the same rank. For example, 9 clubs, 9 spades, 9 diamonds and 9 hearts.
    • 13: Street Flush. Consists of 5 cards of the same suit, placed sequentially one after the other. For example, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of tambourines.
    • 18: Royal Flush. This is a straight flush with an ace high. Starts with 10, jack, queen and king (all of the same suit). This hand always wins.
