Craigslist.org, the American equivalent of Marktplaats.nl, is organized by region. There is also a craigslist for the Amsterdam region and other regions in Europe. Unfortunately, Craigslist doesn't allow you to search multiple regions at the same time. But there are certainly ways to do this. We show you how to do it in this article.

Method 1 of 2: Using a search engine

1. Use the advanced search function of a search engine. With Google you can do much more than simply search. You can search Craigslist in all regions at once with a trick.
   • Go to Google.com. This method also works with Bing, Yahoo and MSN.
2. Enter your search criteria. In the text box you enter what you are looking for, a certain product, a job, a relationship, whatever you want.
   • After your search, type the following: "site:". This indicates that you only want to search within a specific site.
   • Then type "craigslist.org" to search within Craigslist. The search will then look like this: ipad site: craigslist.org
3. Click Enter to start searching. The search results are all found on Craigslist, in the different regions.

Method 2 of 2: Using external software

1. Go to DailyLister. DailyLister uses Google to search.
2. Enter your search terms. You don't have to include "site: craigslist.org" in the search query. That that DailyLister for you.
3. Perform the search. The results are not the same as with the first method, but they are conveniently arranged, because you can search by category.

Tips

• The first method (Using Search Engines) is the most reliable.
• In Google, use the minus sign (-) if you want to filter the results. For example, if you don't want to find the 16 GB version of the iPad, write "- 16 GB" after your search.
