1 Place the apple on the cutting board with the handle facing up.

2 We stick a short knife with a thin blade into the top of the apple, about a centimeter from the center, not into the core itself.

3 We pierce the apple through and through. We do this slowly so as not to cut ourselves. We check that the blade has gone through.

4 Now we take out the knife, again, slowly and carefully. We watch our fingers so as not to accidentally cut your fingers or palm.

5 We repeat the whole process three times, cutting around the center of the apple. At the end, we have four cuts that form a square around the center of the apple.

6 We insert the knife into one of the cuts. We move the blade from the first cut to the second, and then to the other two, until the core is completely cut out.

7 Remove the knife and push the core down with your thumbs.

Method 2 of 3: Cut the core of an apple with a special knife

1. 1 Place the apple on the cutting board with the handle facing up.
2. 2 Push the knife down, grabbing the core.
3. 3 We turn the knife.
4. 4 We remove the shells and seeds.

Method 3 of 3: Core an apple from one half, then from the other

1. 1 Place the apples on the cutting board with the handle facing up.
2. 2 Cut the apple into two halves with a sharp knife.
3. 3 With a teaspoon or something similar, scrape the seeds and shells from each half.
4. 4 Cut out the shank and the top with a knife. As a result, the core is completely removed.
   • If necessary, you can cut the apple into wedges.

Tips

• You can buy a special knife for cutting the core, but more precisely it will turn out to be cut with a trained hand.
• Always wash your apples first.
• You can wear gloves just in case.

Warnings

• Never cut the core while holding the apple by weight. You will cut yourself! Always put it on the board.
