Method 1 of 2: Save a video
- Open Telegram on your Android. This is the blue circle with a white paper airplane inside. You can usually find it on the home screen or in the app drawer.
- Tap the chat that contains the video.
- Tap the arrow in the video. This is a blue circle with a white arrow pointing down. The video will now be downloaded to the default download location on your Android.

- Open Telegram on your Android. This is the blue circle with a white paper airplane inside. You can usually find it on the home screen or in the app drawer.
- Tap on ☰. It's in the top left corner of the screen.
- Tap on Settings. This is at the bottom of the menu.
- Scroll down and tap Data and storage. This is under the heading "Settings".
- Tap on If connected to wifi. A list of options will appear.
- Check the box next to "Videos." This ensures that videos in messages are automatically downloaded to your phone or tablet when you are connected to the WiFi.
- Tap on Save. The changes have been applied immediately.
