If your printer is not automatically detected by the system, then you need to install the printer manually.

Steps

1. 1 The printer may require special software. If you don't have one, do the following.
2. 2 Make sure the printer is connected either directly to the computer or to a network.
3. 3 Click "System Preferences" - "Printers". The printer setup screen appears.
4. 4 Click Add.
5. 5 Enter the URI of the printer connected to the computer.
6. 6 If it is a network printer, click "Network Printer" and find the host of this printer on the network.
