• Method 2 of 2: Wrap the gift in tissue paper

1 Gather all the materials you need. You will need a gift, tissue paper, gift bag, postcard, ribbons, and other decorations.

• You will need tissue paper of several colors to match the color of the gift wrapping. The colorful tissue paper will make the gift more festive!
• Make sure the gift wrapping is appropriate for the occasion.
• If you plan to twist the ribbon as an extra decoration, you will need scissors. You can also take a pre-twisted tape.

2 Unfold each sheet of tissue paper completely. Thanks to this, in gift wrapping, it will seem more voluminous and presentable.

• If the tissue paper is completely unrolled, the package will appear full.
• Proceed carefully. The tissue paper is very thin and easily wrinkles and tears.
• It is best to use a flat surface - unrolling the paper on the floor or table.

3 Line the bottom and sides of the gift bag with tissue paper. Arrange the paper so that the edges protrude slightly from the bag.

• To make the gift brighter, use tissue paper of several colors.
• You can lay out the multi-colored sheets one at a time, folding each next one perpendicular to the previous one - then the multi-colored sheets will be visible immediately under the cover of the package.
• After you lay out the tissue paper, make sure it fits nicely. Pay particular attention to how the paper is peeking out of the gift wrapping.

4 Place the gift (s) in the package. If the package is transparent, make sure the gift is not visible.

• When packing paper, proceed very carefully, because tissue paper is easily wrinkled and torn.
• Make sure the package and gift are the right size.

5 Place 1-2 sheets of tissue paper on top of the gift to hide it from prying eyes.

• Handle the tissue paper carefully, otherwise the person who receives your gift will think that you acted in a hurry.
• Examine the packaging. The tissue paper should be intact, even and neat.
• The gift should not show through or distort the shape of the gift wrapping.

6 Add a greeting card and decorations. You can insert the postcard into the package, or you can stick it with tape to its outside.

• To make the packaging look more creative, you can tie a ribbon or bow on it.
• You can also attach a card with your name to the gift - so it will be easier for the recipient of the gift to understand who this gift is from. Usually such cards are left at festive events with a lot of gifts.

Method 2 of 2: Wrap the gift in tissue paper

1. 1 Collect everything you need. You will need tissue paper, your gift, gift wrap, any jewelry, a postcard and a card with your name on it.
   • You will need several sheets of white tissue paper to wrap the gift with, and several sheets of colored paper to line the gift bag.
   • Colored paper should complement the color scheme of the package. Multi-colored tissue paper will give the gift a more festive look.
   • Make sure the gift bag is appropriate for the occasion.
   • If you are planning to make ribbon curls and use them as decoration, then you will need scissors for this. Alternatively, you can use pre-curled ribbons or pre-curled bows.
2. 2 Wrap the gift in white tissue paper - the paper will hide the gift from prying eyes.
   • It is not at all necessary that the paper be wrapped around the gift - it should lie loosely.
   • If the gift is fragile, wrap it in several layers of white tissue paper. You can also use a newspaper as a kind of airbag.
3. 3 Place 3-4 sheets of tissue paper on a flat surface. Alternating colors, overlap the sheets.
   • Use more or fewer sheets depending on the size of the gift and package.
   • If the gift is small, use the halves of the sheets.
4. 4 Place the pre-wrapped gift in the center of the sheets laid out on the table. Thanks to this technique, the tissue paper will be distributed more evenly throughout the gift bag.
   • Make sure the gift is right in the middle.
   • If the gift is elongated, place it diagonally.
5. 5 Wrap tissue paper around the bag, tucking the edges over the top of the gift.
   • Squeeze the paper lightly just over the gift.
   • Be careful not to wrinkle the rest of the paper while doing this.
   • Be careful not to rip the paper.
6. 6 Grasping the bottom of the gift, lift it up and place it in the bag. Be careful not to tear the paper. And don't pick up the gift by holding the edges of the paper.
   • Put some more paper on top of the gift - do it the way you like best.
   • Touch the paper as little as possible, or it will look wrinkled and used.
7. 7 Add more paper as needed. If you feel the gift is lacking in color, add it with colorful tissue paper.
   • Lay out one sheet of tissue paper, flatten it out.
   • Place your thumb and forefinger in the center and lift the paper.
   • Shake with this hand and use your other hand to straighten the paper.
   • Place the paper in the bag over the top of the gift. Using different colors will add variety.
8. 8 Put a postcard and a card with your name on it. You can put the postcard in a gift bag and tissue paper.
   • Alternatively, tape the postcard to the outside of the bag using tape.
   • Your name card can be placed on the bag handle or on the front of the bag.
9. 9 Add any decorative embellishments. You can add brightness and originality to a gift with the help of ribbons (you can pre-curl them) and ready-made bows.
   • All these details will give the gift a more personal and festive look.
   • Do not overdo it with decorations - they can distract attention from the main gift bag and tissue paper.
