- Example. The conical container is 2.3 feet high and its base radius is 1.8 feet. Calculate the volume of the container in gallons.
- Volume = (1/3) * π * R * B
- Volume = (1/3) * 3.14 * 1.8 * 2.3 feet
- Volume = (1/3) * 3.14 * 3.24 sq. feet * 2.3 feet
- Volume = 7.8 cubic meters feet

- 4 Calculating the volume of a regular pyramid. To find out the volume of the correct pyramid, you need to multiply the area of its base by the height, and divide the resulting value by 3. Then you need to convert the result to gallons.
- Example. The pyramidal tank is 1.91 meters high and its base is 2.3 meters long and 2.1 meters wide. Calculate the volume of the tank in gallons.
- Volume = (1/3) * O * B
- Volume = (1/3) * (L * W) * H
- Volume = (1/3) * (2.3 m * 2.1 m) * 1.92 m
- Volume = 3.09 cubic meters meters
- 3.09 cc meters * (264.17 gallons / 1 cubic meter) = 3.09 * 264.17 = 816.29 gallons
- Answer: 816.29 gallons
