If you accidentally leave plastic in a hot skillet while cooking, be more than sure that the plastic will melt on it. It's quite a hassle to go out and buy a new pot or pan because of such a small but fixable mistake you made. It's much better to learn a simple method for removing molten plastic from cookware. Is not it?

Steps

1. 1 Place the melted plastic skillet in the freezer. Leave it for at least a few hours for the plastic to harden by the time you take out the pan.
2. 2 At this time, find a scratch-resistant piece of wood, a plastic hammer, or something similar. You can use any heavy object, as long as it is softer than the metal from which the pan is made.
3. 3 Remove the heavily chilled skillet from the freezer. Make sure the plastic is cured.
4. 4 Place the skillet on a flat surface, bottom to top. This is best done on a kitchen countertop. Whatever the surface, it must withstand a huge pressure of force.
5. 5 Using a percussion tool, gently tap the bottom of the pan in the area where the plastic is stuck. Do not hit too hard or you will ruin the pan.
6. 6 If all else fails, repeat step 5, but not so weakly. Be patient, the plastic will gradually come away from the pan. Once you get rid of it, wash the pan before using it.
