This article will show you how to contact YouTube to resolve issues such as content, inappropriate behavior, security breaches, and copyright issues. While YouTube can be attempted to be contacted via social media or, if you are a member of the Affiliate Program, via Contributor Support, the reality is that there is no reliable way to contact YouTube and get a response. Keep in mind that YouTube does not have an email address or phone number to contact the company directly, and a call to YouTube support will prompt the bot to advise you to use the YouTube Help Center (which is the best choice in most cases) ...

Steps

Method 1 of 7: Using social media

1 Remember, YouTube is unlikely to respond to your social media post. YouTube is active on social media, but the company rarely responds to comments on its posts or comments on posts in which it is mentioned.
- Even if you suddenly strike up a correspondence with a YouTube employee, it is unlikely that you will receive a detailed answer. Most likely, this will be a standard message that your problem is being solved or that you should use the YouTube Help Center.
2 Post your tweet. One of the most promising ways to reach YouTube is by using Twitter, because tweets can be posted directly to a company page:
- Open Twitter. To do this, go to https://www.twitter.com (on a computer) or tap the Twitter app icon (on a mobile device). Now log in.
  - If you don't have a Twitter account, create one.
- Tap Tweet or tap the new tweet icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Enter @YouTube, and then enter your message.
- Click Tweet.
3 Leave a comment on the YouTube post on Facebook. YouTube has a Facebook page on which the company publishes various information. However, there are a lot of comments on YouTube posts, and most likely your comment will be ignored. To leave a comment:
- Go to https://www.facebook.com/youtube in your computer's web browser.
- Log in to your Facebook account.
- Find the post you want, and then click "Comment" below it.
- Enter your comment and then click ↵ Enter.
4 Leave a comment on the YouTube post on Instagram. Unlike Facebook, YouTube posts on Instagram are not as actively commented on:
- Go to https://www.instagram.com/youtube in your computer's web browser.
- Log in to Instagram.
- Find the publication you want.
- Click the speech cloud icon below the post.
- Enter your comment and then click ↵ Enter.

Method 2 of 7: Contacting Contributor Support

1 Please be aware that not all YouTube users can apply this method. The company does not provide the exact requirements of what needs to be done in order to be eligible to send letters to the support service of authors. But at a minimum, you must be a YouTube partner and have at least 10,000 views of your channels.
- Some creators who meet these criteria are unable to reach YouTube by email because they only recently hit the 10,000 views threshold.
2 You are using a computer. You cannot contact the support team of authors from a smartphone or tablet.
3 Open the YouTube website. Go to https://www.youtube.com/ and then click Sign In in the upper right corner. Now log in to YouTube.
4 Click on your profile icon. It's in the top right corner of the page. A menu will open.
5 Click on reference. You will find this option at the bottom of the menu.
6 Click on Need more help?. It's at the top of the menu. A new dropdown menu will open.
7 Select a category. From the drop-down menu, select a topic related to your problem.
8 Click on Write a letter. This option may be called "Access to Authors Resources". A list of topics will be displayed.
- If you are not authorized to contact YouTube in this way, you will not see the "Write an Email" option.
9 Send an email to Contributor Support. Once you've verified that you have access to Creator Support resources, follow these steps:
- Select the category your problem belongs to.
- Click Contact Contributor Support.
  - If this option is not there, go back and choose a different category.
- Enter your first name, last name, email address, and channel URL on the appropriate lines.
- Scroll down and enter a description of your problem in the "How can we help you?" Field.
- Check “Yes” or “No” under “Problems with a specific video?” And then follow the instructions on the screen.
- Click Submit.

Method 3 of 7: How to Report Inappropriate Behavior

1 First try to report a video or a comment. If you encounter an isolated incident of spam or inappropriate comment / video, please report it so that YouTube will take note.
2 Open the complaints page. Go to https://www.youtube.com/reportabuse in a web browser.
3 Choose a reason. Check the box to the left of one of the following reasons:
- Online insults and threats - select this option to report verbal abuse, bullying or mild threats.
- Posing as another person - select this option to report a fake channel that is masquerading as the original channel.
- Threats of violence - select this option to report a threatening channel.
- Threats to the life of a child or violation of his rights - select this option to report videos of children in potentially dangerous or stressful situations.
- Discriminatory statements against a social group - select this option to report incidents of hate speech.
- Spam and fraud - select this option to report spam or comments related to fraud.
4 Select additional options. Depending on the selected reason, the available options may vary:
- Online insults and threats - Click "Confirm" when prompted, check the box next to the desired option under "Harassment and threats on the Internet" and follow the instructions on the screen.
- Posing as another person - check the box next to the desired option under "Pretending to be another person", enter the name of the channel (or the names of two channels), click "Continue" and fill in the form that opens.
- Threats of violence - click "Confirm", when prompted, enter the name of the channel in the line under "Threats of violence", click "Continue" and fill in the form that opens.
- Threats to the life of a child or violation of his rights - Click "Confirm" when prompted and then select the option you want.
- Discriminatory statements against a social group - select the type of statement, enter the name of the channel, click "Continue" and fill in the form that opens.
- Spam and fraud - select the type of spam / fraud, enter the name of the channel, click "Continue" and fill in the form that opens.
5 Submit the completed form. To do this, click "Submit" at the bottom of the page. YouTube will review your complaint and take appropriate action.
- Most likely, you will not receive a response from YouTube, no matter what the company takes.

Method 4 of 7: How to report a security breach

1 Open the page for reporting security breaches. This is where you can report privacy concerns to Google.
2 Choose a problem. Check the box to the left of one of the following issues:
- “I'm experiencing a security problem with my Google account”.
- “I want to remove content on Google Search, Youtube, Blogger, or another service”.
- “I have a privacy doubt or a privacy-related question about Google products and services”.
- "I found a security bug in Google" forgot password "feature".
- “I want to report a technical security or an abuse risk related bug in a Google product (SQLi, XSS, etc.)”.
- “I want to report a scam, malware, or other problems not listed above”.
3 Select additional options. Under the selected problem, check the box next to the required option. The list of options depends on the selected problem.
- Choose a few options if you like.
4 Click on Continue (Proceed). This button is at the bottom of the page. You will be taken to another page.
5 Read the information on the page. In many cases, the page will outline how YouTube is addressing the issues that have arisen and how to avoid them in the future. If you have reported a fix, search the page for the "report" link.
6 Click on the link report (inform) or fill out (fill). If the page has a "report" link, click on it to open the form.
7 Fill out and submit the form that opens. Enter the required information and then click “Send” or “Submit”. The form will be sent to YouTube security. Most likely, you will not receive an answer, but the problem will be resolved within one to two weeks.

Method 5 of 7: How to report copyright infringement

1 Open the page for reporting copyright infringement. Go to https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2807622 in a web browser.
2 Click on Open the form. This button is in the middle of the page.
- Please be aware that filing a false complaint will result in your account being blocked.
- If you are not yet signed in to YouTube, enter your email address and password.
3 Check the box next to "Copyright infringement". It's in the middle of a group of options on the page.
4 Choose whose copyright is violated. Check the box next to one of the following options:
- My!
- My company, organization or client
5 Fill out the form that opens. To do this, enter information about your company and agree to the terms.
6 Click on Send a complaint. This button is at the bottom of the page. Your report of copyright infringement will be sent.
- You will most likely not get an answer even if YouTube takes action against the channels you listed.

Method 6 of 7: How to Report a Privacy Violation

1 Open the page for reporting privacy violations. Go to https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/142443 in a web browser.
- The page allows you to report people who post your personal information to YouTube.
- Only fill out the privacy breach form if you have already contacted the person who you think has breached your privacy.
2 Click on Further. This button is at the bottom of the page.
3 Click on I still want to report a privacy violation. It's in the middle of the page.
4 Click on Further. This button is located under Contact User.
5 Click on Familiarized with the principles of the community.
6 Click on Further. This will confirm that you understand that filing a false complaint may result in your account being blocked.
7 Select the type of privacy breach. Click "Your Picture or Full Name" or "Other Personal Information" depending on the type of privacy breach you are experiencing.
8 Enter basic information. Complete the following lines:
- Your name according to passport - your name as it appears on your ID.
- Your last name according to your passport - your surname as it appears on your ID.
- Country - your country of residence.
- E-mail address - the email address you use to log in to YouTube.
9 Enter the URL of the channel. In the "Enter your channel URL" line, enter the web address of the channel where the privacy violation occurred.
10 Add the video url. In the "Specify video URLs" line, enter the web addresses of the channel videos that violate your privacy.
11 Select the nature of the complaint. Check the box next to each option you want in the "Specify what the complaint is about" section, and then check the box next to the option you want in the next section, "Indicate where you noticed the violation."
12 Enter a time stamp. In the line "Indicate at what moment ..." enter the time when your personal information is disclosed or discussed in the video.
- If you want, check the box next to “Yes” or “No” in the section “Was the content you are complaining about was taken from your channel?”.
- If you wish, check the box next to “The affected person is a child or dependent and I am his legal guardian”.
13 Enter additional information. In the text box, enter information that you think will help clarify the situation with the video, channel, or content that displays your information.
- Here we recommend that you explain your relationship with the person who owns the channel, or tell in detail about your actions (for example, that you have already contacted the channel and asked to delete the information).
14 Check the boxes next to the options in the "Please check that you agree with the following statements" section. These options are "I honestly believe ..." and "I declare the information ...".
15 Check the box next to “I'm not a robot”. It's at the bottom of the page.
16 Click on send. It's at the bottom left of the page. Your report of a privacy violation will be forwarded for review. If YouTube finds out that the complaint should be upheld, the user will be obliged to delete your information and, possibly, the user's account will be blocked.

Method 7 of 7: How to send a YouTube email

1 Open the Contact Us page. Go to https://www.youtube.com/t/contact_us in a web browser.
2 Scroll down to the "Our Address" section. It's at the bottom of the Contact Us page.
3 Review the address. This is the YouTube headquarters address - you can send emails to it.
- As of August 2019, the YouTube address is YouTube, LLC | 901 Cherry Ave | San Bruno, CA 94066 | USA.
- You can also send a fax to the number +1 (650) 253-0001.
4 Write a letter. If you show appreciation for the company's work or raise a concern, be careful, concise, and polite.
- Keep in mind that YouTube has over a billion monthly users, so it's unlikely that YouTube employees will read and respond to your email.
- The shorter the letter, the more likely it will be read.
5 Send an email to YouTube mailing address or fax. If YouTube deems your problem worthy of attention, you may receive an answer, or the problem may be resolved without an answer.
