This article will show you how to use the Google Gmail Support Center and how to report problems with Gmail to Google.

Method 1 of 3: Troubleshoot common Gmail issues

1. 1 Change or reset your Gmail password. One of the most common reasons for contacting Google or Gmail is to reset a forgotten Gmail password. You can reset your password in your Gmail account (desktop only).
   • If you know the password and just want to change it, you can do it both on a computer and on a mobile device.

   Unfortunately, it is not possible to contact Google directly. You can't call or email Gmail support because Google doesn't publish phone numbers and email addresses. However, you can use the Google Support Center and try to solve the problem you are experiencing.

   
   
2. 2 Learn to use Gmail. Do this if you are not familiar with Gmail or its new interface.
3. 3 Block emails from unwanted senders. To do this, block the email addresses of such senders.
4. 4 Mark unwanted emails as spam. If you receive unwanted emails, mark them as spam so that in the future, Gmail will immediately send such emails to your Spam folder.
5. 5 Add contacts to your Gmail account. To do this, use the "Contacts" application in the "Inbox" folder.
6. 6 Recover Deleted Emails. If you are looking for an email that you accidentally deleted within the last 30 days, please remove it from the trash can.
   • You can also check your archived mail folder. To do this, click on “All Emails” on the left side of your Gmail inbox - you may need to click on “More” first and scroll down to find this option.
7. 7 Update your Gmail app. If the Gmail mobile app is out of date, you may experience issues syncing email and signing in. To update this app:
   • iPhone - open the App Store , click Updates, and then click Update to the right of the Gmail app.
   • Android - open the Play Store , press ☰, tap My Apps & Games, and then tap Refresh to the right of the Gmail app.

Method 2 of 3: Using the Gmail Support Center

1. 1 Open the Gmail help page. Go to https://support.google.com/mail/ in your computer's web browser.
2. 2 Select a theme category. Select one of the categories below the search bar on the man page. The category expands and the screen displays a list of related topics.
   • You can also find a topic. To do this, click on the search bar at the top of the page, enter a word or phrase that describes your problem, and select the appropriate topic from the menu that opens.
   • If you're unsure of where to start, check out the Popular Articles category first.
3. 3 Choose a topic. Click on the name of the desired topic in the selected category.
4. 4 Open the help article. Click on one of the links under the topic heading. A page with an article will open.
5. 5 Fill out the form if necessary. Some help articles require you to enter information or select a problem type; in this case, just follow the instructions on the screen.
6. 6 Read the entire help article. First, read the article to the end, and then proceed to the steps according to the instructions described in the article.
7. 7 Follow the instructions in the help article. Perhaps this is how you solve the problem with Gmail; if not, go back to the Gmail man page and select a different category, topic, and article to try a different method to fix the problem.

Method 3 of 3: Reporting errors in Gmail

1. 1 Open Gmail. Go to https://www.gmail.com/ in your computer's web browser. Your Gmail inbox will open if you are logged into your Google account in a browser.
   • If you are not logged in yet, enter your email address, click Next, enter your Gmail password, and click Next.
   • If you don't know your Gmail password, reset it and log in with your new password.
2. 2 Go to the Gmail page with the error. If you want to tell Google about a specific error in your Gmail inbox, go to the error page and make sure it appears on the screen.
   • If there is no error in Gmail, skip this step.
3. 3 Click "Settings" . It's an option in the upper-right side of the Gmail page. A menu will open.
4. 4 Click on Post a review. It's an option at the bottom of the menu. A window with a form to fill out will open.
5. 5 Enter your review. Click the white "Send Feedback" text box at the top of the form, and then enter whatever you want to tell Google.
6. 6 Select the area for the screenshot. Click on the screenshot below the text box, then hold down the mouse button and drag over the area you want to select. Click "Finish" to save the screenshot.
   • If you're not reporting an actual bug in Gmail, uncheck the "Attach screenshot" checkbox.
7. 7 Click on send. It's a button at the bottom of the form. An error message will be sent to Gmail support.

Warnings

• You won't be able to call or write to the Gmail support service; any phone number or email address allegedly belonging to the Gmail support service is fraudulent.
