MacBook is a high-quality computer and it doesn't break down very often. However, if something hits a key, you need to take it off.

Steps

1. 1 Find a well-lit area and also a nail file (or use a thin minus screwdriver).
2. 2 Insert a file under the key you want to remove and pull the key out. You will hear a crackling sound, but that's okay. If the mount falls out when you remove the key, be sure to put it in a safe place.
3. 3 The installation of the key depends on whether you removed the key holder or not.
   • If the little white key holder is still in the computer, simply place the key on the holder and press down on it with your finger. Clicking will notify you that you have replaced the key.
   • If the mount has fallen out, first install it and then install the key.

Tips

• Do not use excessive force when removing a key.
