Screenshot can be a great way to take a snapshot of a photo found on the web, an email, or just a fun way to share something on your screen. If you want to know how to take a screenshot on iPad, please follow these simple steps.
Steps
- 1 Find the image you want to take a picture of. Search your iPad for the photo you want to capture. You can take an interesting snippet of an email, take a screenshot of an app showing the weather in your city, a snapshot of something exciting you've found on the internet, a screenshot of a funny chat with a friend, or a screenshot of many other images.
- 2 Determine where the on / off button is. It's in the right corner on the top bar of your iPad. This is the button you use to turn your iPad on or off.
- 3 Determine where the Home button is. It's a round button centered at the bottom of the iPad. In the middle of the button there is a white square icon.
- 4 Hold down the On / Off and Home buttons at the same time. This must be done within a second.
- Not necessary holding the buttons too long will turn off the device. You just need to click at the same time, not hold.
- 5 Release the buttons. Don't have to let them go exactly simultaneously. If the screenshot is taken successfully, you will hear the camera shutter sound and see a white screen.
- 6 Make sure to take a screenshot. Just look in the gallery to see if the image has appeared there. To open the gallery, open the Photos app from the home screen.
- The "Camera Roll" gallery will be the first in the list of your albums.
- Click on it and look at the last image below - there you should find your screenshot.
Tips
- You can do the same with your iPod / iPhone.
- If you want to sync an image with your computer, you can connect your iPad to your computer using a USB cable and upload the image using iTunes.
- Once you've taken a screenshot, you can email it to yourself or someone by selecting it from the gallery.
- If you have iCloud, your screenshots will automatically sync with other iOS devices.
