This article will show you how to make a button with an HTML link. The action is similar to a normal hyperlink, however, a button is designed instead.

Steps

1. 1 Open your HTML file in your preferred text editor such as Notepad or TextEdit.
2. 2 Add the following code to the area where you want to insert the button.

3. 3 Change the link. Currently, the code points to the home page of the WikiHow site. Replace it with the URL of the page you want to go to on click.
4. 4 Edit the button text. In this case, it says the following: "Home page". You can change the name of the button to your liking.
5. 5 Check the link. Left-click on a link to make sure it is active. If it works, then you're done. If clicking on the button does not work, then you should check your code for errors.
