1 Prepare your paper. To make a fortune teller, you must use a square piece of paper. If you have a rectangular piece of paper, you can fold it into a square and cut off the excess. To do this, fold one of the corners of the paper diagonally so that the folded portion matches the border with the base. Thus, a long rectangular piece of unrolled paper should remain at the bottom, which must be cut off or evenly torn out.

2 Decorate one side as desired.

3 Fold your paper lengthwise. While in the shape of a square, fold your paper in half so that the borders line up exactly, and you have a rectangular shape. Press the fold so that the fold is clear and even. Then unfold the paper back into a square shape.

4 Fold your paper to the width. After you have unfold your paper back into a square shape, fold it in half again, but this time in the opposite direction to the previous fold. Fold in the fold to print, then unfold the paper back into the square. The square should have a large X through its center.

5 Fold the corners towards the center of the paper. Walk around the square, bending each corner towards the center. After the previous manipulations, you should have a clear view of the center, so joining all four corners should not be a problem. You should end up with a (obviously folded) smaller / diamond-shaped square.

6 Flip the paper over and fold the corners again. Flip your folded paper over so that the previously folded corners are facing down and the flat, smooth top of the paper is facing you. Repeat the above step of rolling all corners inward towards the center. After that, you will again have a smaller square / rhombus.

7 Fold the paper in half again in each direction. Your fortune teller has entered the final stage of folding! Iron the folds again by folding the paper in half in both directions before finishing the basic shape. This will make the fortuneteller easy to deploy.

8 Pull the tabs towards you. Unfold the paper again and you will see four small squares formed that are open in the corners. Pull them outward, and the center should fold inward slightly. Slide your fingers into empty spaces and you should be done!

9 Add your predictions and information to the fortune teller. There are usually three main sections in a fortuneteller that must be inscribed. When holding the fortune teller, each of the four corner tabs should be color coded. When you flatten the fortune teller, the inner tabs should be marked with a number on the outside.Finally, each of the inner tabs should be marked with a prediction / note (corresponding to the number) to be read when expanded.

10 Ready.

Tips

• If you want to make miniature models, do not use sticky notes. The sticky edge will just get in the way when bending and playing.
• You can experiment with very large and very small fortune tellers.
• The easiest way is to make a fortune teller before decorating it and assigning words and numbers.
• You can experiment with different kinds of predictions. Some may be famous and relevant to someone's life, while others may be big and flamboyant, such as "you win the American Idol show and become the president of Sweden." Shuffle everything to make the game more interesting.
• Make sure the cuffs (ears) are folded neatly.

  • If you made a Yes / No fortune-teller, ask the question to the player.
  • If you've made a fortune teller with random sayings, the player can simply choose one of the words on the outside.
  • After the player has said his question out loud (or not), have he or she choose one of the colors, and you move your fingers together and apart, each information corresponds to one letter.
  • Example: "K, p, a, s, n, s, y", you open the fortuneteller when mixing, then when diluting, and then back when mixing, and so 7 times, which corresponds to 7 letters in the word "red". For the word "yellow" you will open the fortuneteller 6 times.
  • Let the player choose the number visible from the inside, and move the fortuneteller the specified number of times. Decide how many times the player will choose the visible number, and mix and match the fortuneteller. Let the player select the last number and open the flap below the number. The answer to the question is there!
  • Initially, the process may seem difficult, but just try to play and everything will become simple.
