Usually discs are sold in cases, but they are so often lost somewhere at home that you constantly have to either buy new cases or store discs without cases. Have you faced such a problem? Then you have come to the right place! In this article, we'll walk you through and show you how to make your own CD cases.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: The Easiest Method

1. 1 Turn the A4 sheet vertically and fold it so that about 2-3 cm remains to the other edge.
2. 2 Now turn it all over horizontally and bend the edges about 4-5 cm on both sides. (When in doubt, place the CD in the middle and fold the edges.)
3. 3 Now unfold the sheet and fold these edges again, as shown in the picture.
4. 4 Insert the CD into the resulting pocket so that it is between the folded edges and the sheet.
5. 5 Great, now move it to one side of the sheet and cover it with the other side!
6. 6 Bend the folded edge of the sheet (2-3 cm) as shown in the picture.
7. 7 Now try to fix this very edge of the sheet at the top of the sheet with which you covered the disc.
8. 8 Place the resulting disc sleeve under a press or book. Ready!

Method 2 of 2: Using glue

1. 1 Place A4 sheet horizontally and fold the top and bottom edges inward by 3-4 cm.
2. 2 Now bend the right side of the sheet so that 2-3 cm is left to the next edge.
3. 3 Spread the top and bottom edges with glue and glue the right side of the sheet to them, as shown in the picture.
   • You can insert it in the middle of the CD to check if your future case is the right size.
4. 4 Insert a disc into the resulting case and bend the top edge.
5. 5 The CD case is ready!

Tips

• If you are making a case for a disc of music, find a list of that music in iTunes and select an album picture, print it and paste it onto a new case. Also print your playlist and stick to the back of the case. Go to iTunes, click "File" - "Print" and select the album art and song list.
• Use cardboard or sturdy paper instead of plain paper.
• Hold the disc carefully so as not to scratch it.
• Be sure to sign what kind of disc is in this case so as not to be confused.
• Make sure the glue is completely dry before placing it in the CD case.
• Such a cover, although it does not look solid, is very convenient for storing at home, you can take it with you to work or school.
• If you can't tuck in the top edge so as to close the pocket, check: maybe you folded something unevenly?
• You can wrap the disc in a paper towel or napkin to prevent scratches, and then safely place it in a new case.
• It's best to decorate the paper ahead of time, so draw something or print the album cover before folding it. Remember to leave some space from the top edge in order to cover the disc. Remember also that the top edge will be folded!
