Sometimes old emails stored in your Inbox are not visible on iPhone. This is because the phone is set to display only the most recent emails. To change this, simply follow these steps.

Method 1 of 2: Checking archived emails

1. 1 Open the Mail app.
2. 2 Click "Mailboxes".
3. 3 Click on the account whose archived emails you want to view.
4. 4 Click Archive. Not all email accounts have an archive mailbox.
5. 5 Browse through the list of archived emails and find what you need.

Method 2 of 2: Change your sync settings (iOS 6)

1. 1 Go to the "Settings" section.
2. 2 Select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
3. 3 Select an email account and then click "Sync Mail Days".
4. 4Change the value to "Unlimited".
