Burger King Spicy Sauce is a delicate, creamy dipping sauce perfect for fried foods, sandwiches and burgers. If you want to make one at home, stock up on the ingredients you need at the supermarket.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (118 ml) mayonnaise
- 1.5 teaspoons (7.4 ml) ketchup
- 1.5 teaspoons (7.4 ml) horseradish
- 0.5 teaspoons (2 g) granulated sugar
- 0.5 teaspoons (2 g) lemon juice
- 0.25 teaspoons (0.5 g) ground cayenne pepper
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Preparing the Ingredients
- 1 Place a small bowl on your kitchen counter.
- 2 Squeeze the mayonnaise, ketchup, and horseradish into measuring cups or spoons and place them in a bowl. You can find all three of these sauces in the grocery section of your supermarket.
- Use low fat mayonnaise or olive oil mayonnaise for a lighter sauce.
- 3 Add granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cayenne pepper.
Part 2 of 2: Mixing the Ingredients
- 1 Stir the ingredients for 1-2 minutes with a spoon or spatula.
- 2 Scrape the ingredients off the sides of the bowl and place them back in the sauce.
- 3 Make sure everything is well mixed by tasting the sauce with a clean spoon.
- 4 Place the sauce in a jar with a tight-fitting lid or in a cleaned ketchup bottle.
- 5 Place in refrigerator for an hour before serving. The taste will improve during this time.
- 6 Store the savory sauce for up to two weeks. Then make a new batch.
