Seabass is a light fish with a high oil and moisture content, and belongs to the family of perchiformes.It can be cooked in a variety of ways as it is a hard fish that supports a variety of culinary methods. Sea bass goes well with a variety of seasonings and can be paired with several foods such as rice and vegetables. It is commonly found in fillet sandwiches, fish soups, and fish soup.
Steps
- 1 Prepare sea bass fillets by either marinating 1-2 hours before cooking or rubbing the fish with your favorite seasonings.
- 2 Grill the perch fillets.
- Preheat the grill to medium heat and coat it with oil or nonstick cooking spray to keep the fish from sticking.
- Grill the perch fillets for 5 minutes on each side or until pierced with a fork.
- 3 Fry sea bass fillets on the stovetop.
- Use 3 shallow bowls and fill the first with flour, the second with 1 cup (237 ml) milk and 2 eggs and the third with cornmeal and spices.
- Dip the sea bass in flour and place in the egg. Dip fish in cornmeal to coat both sides.
- Heat a large skillet with 5 centimeters of vegetable oil until the temperature is 191 C.
- Add the sea bass fillets, but do not put too much in the skillet and fry on both sides until golden brown and until pierced with a fork.
- 4 Fry the sea bass fillets on the stove in a skillet.
- Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium heat with 2 tbsp. l. (29.58 ml) olive oil. The olive oil must smoke before putting the fish in it.
- Place the sea bass fillets in a cast iron skillet. Let cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until the fish is pierced with a fork.
- 5 Boil sea bass fillets in liquid on the stove top.
- Add 4 cups (948 ml) liquid of your choice, such as water, broth, wine, juice, or combinations, to a large skillet and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Add herbs and spices as needed.
- Place the sea bass fillets in the boiling liquid.
- Cook for 5 minutes or until fish is completely cooked and flaky.
- 6 Bake sea bass fillets in the oven.
- Preheat oven to 204 C.
- Lightly coat a baking dish with olive oil and add the sea bass fillets.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top of the fillets to help retain moisture and create a crispy crust.
- Cook uncovered for 15-20 minutes or until the fish is pierced with a fork.
- 7 Ready.
