The croutons do not have to be vanilla. If you are out of vanilla, or you just don't like its taste, then in this article you will find a recipe for croutons that taste just as good.
Ingredients
- Bread (according to your taste)
- 3 eggs
- 3 teaspoons of white sugar
- A pinch of table salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Topping (powdered sugar / cinnamon / fruit and so on)
- Olive oil for greasing the pan
Steps
1 Grease a skillet with oil.
2 Place the skillet over low heat.
3 Crack the eggs and beat them in a bowl with a fork. Use a whisk if you don't have a fork on hand.
4 Pour the rest of the ingredients into the mixture and whisk again.
5 Cut the bread into slices. Cut as many slices as you need.
6 Dip each slice in the egg mixture. Place the slices in the skillet.
7 Turn the slices over after 30 seconds. If the croutons are not golden brown, then they are not ready yet. After frying the croutons, let them cool slightly.
8 Add topping to your taste.
