Tinder is a popular online application that allows you to find a romantic couple according to the specified search and geolocation parameters. To get started with the program, first of all, you need to download the application and create an account. Tinder works on the principle of "mutual likes", you just scroll through the profiles of candidates and click the mark "I like" if the applicant piqued your interest. In case the person you have chosen also has sympathy, you are taken down. The program automatically creates a pair, and you can start chatting directly in the application. Steps

Method 1 of 4: Create an account

1 Download the app. You can download the Tinder app on the iPhone in the App Store, or on the Android Google Play Store
2 Open Tinder. This app has a white flame on its icon.
3 Click on LOG IN WITH FACEBOOK. This blue button is located at the bottom of the screen.
- You will need the Facebook mobile app and a work Facebook account to create a Tinder account.
4 Click on OK when this window appears. This step will give Tinder access to your Facebook data.
- If your username and password are not saved on your phone, then the Facebook window will first open, where you will need to enter this information.
5 Click on Allow. This will enable the geolocation feature for this app.
- Location services must be turned on to start using Tinder.
6 Choose if you want to receive notifications and click "I want to receive notifications" or "Not now". After completing all the steps, a Tinder account will be created based on your Facebook details.

Method 2 of 4: Getting familiar with the Tinder interface

1 Check out the app page. You will see a photo in the middle of the screen - this is the page of another Tinder user who is nearby.
2 Examine the buttons at the bottom of the screen. They will allow you to communicate with other people in the application. From left to right, these buttons perform the following functions:
- Rewind - Pressing this yellow button will take you back to the previous user page. To unlock this feature, you need to purchase the Tinder Plus version.
- Not interested - Press "X" if you don't like the user. You can also swipe left for the same action.
- Boost - The purple flame button allows you to increase your profile's viewability by 30 minutes. You can use this feature for free once a month.
- Like - the green icon in the form of a heart likes the user and if the applicant also likes you, then the application automatically creates a pair between you.
- Super like - the mark signals the partner that you have liked him. You are provided with 3 "super likes" per month. For the same action, you can also swipe up the user profile.
3 Check your private messages. Click on the icon in the form of a dialog cloud in the upper right corner of the screen, then all correspondence with your couples will open.
4 Turn on the "Activate Finds" feature. If you turned off the "show me on Tinder" option in your profile settings, no one will see you and you will not be able to search for new people. To re-activate the finds (search for a pair), you need to click on the flame-shaped icon in the very center at the top, and then touch the corresponding button.
5 Click on your profile icon. The human silhouette icon in the upper left corner of the screen opens your profile and allows you to change your account settings.

Method 3 of 4: Setting preferences

1 Click on SETTINGS. The gear icon on your profile home page opens your Tinder user settings.
2 "Finds settings". In this section, you can select the parameters you are interested in looking for potential lovers.
- Current location (iPhone, Android): here you can change your current location.
- Maximum distance (iPhone, Android):here you can increase or decrease the search radius for pairs.
- Gender (iPhone), Show (Android): select the gender you are interested in. At the moment, the application has 3 options: "Women", "Men" and "Women and Men".
- Age Range (iPhone, Android): increase or decrease the maximum and minimum age thresholds.
3 Set other settings. You can edit your notification settings, review the app's privacy policy, or sign out of your Tinder account from this menu.
4 Click on Ready (iPhone) or (Android). These buttons are at the very top of the settings page. This step will take you back to your profile page.
5 Click on . At the bottom right of the profile page.
6 Select images at the top of the edit page. Here you can:
- Click and select a photo for the profile screen saver that is displayed first.
- Click x at the bottom right of the screen to delete a photo from the Tinder app.
- Click + at the bottom right of the camera roll icon to add a photo from your phone or Facebook page.
- You can also use the function Smart photoswhich automatically picks the best photo of your profile and displays it first.
7 Fill out the section "About the user". This can be done in the "About me" field.
- You have 500 characters available.
8 Edit your profile information. You can add:
- Current work - choose your field of activity.
- School - select a school from the Facebook database or skip this line.
- Music - share your favorite song.
- Floor - indicate your gender.
9 Click on Ready (iPhone) or (Android) at the top of the screen.
- Click on the arrow at the top right of the screen to return to your profile page.
10 Flame icon. This button is located in the middle of the screen at the top and opens a page where you can select applicants for your heart.

Method 4 of 4: Loading Profiles

1 Swipe right. To like a user, click on the green heart or swipe the page to the right - this means that you liked the user's profile and would like to pair with this applicant.
2 Swipe left. And by clicking on the "X" button, you skip the user. This person will no longer appear on your Tinder feed.
3 Wait for your pair. If you marked "I like" and the user also liked you, a pair is automatically created by the program... You will receive a notification and this candidate will appear in the correspondence section.
4 Click on the dialog cloud icon. It is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
5 Fill in your partner's name. At the top of the screen there is a search among the created pairs, in case you want to continue the conversation with a specific user.
6 Send a strong first message. If you want to start a conversation with a person, your first message should be friendly and understandable, not intimidating and unpleasant.
- Avoid standard messages like “Hello”. Instead, ask, "How was your day?"
- Try to start the correspondence with an unexpected and creative message - this way the prospective partner will definitely pay attention to you.
7 Be attentive. Sometimes during communication it is easy to forget that you are communicating with the same person on the other side of the global Internet. Remember to stay positive, kind, and respectful of your partner.

Tips

Do not use Tinder while on holiday or traveling abroad, as it confuses the app's geolocation settings. A few days after the trip, the program will continue to use the same location.
