In addition to chatting with friends or people who share your interests on Google+, there are other cool features that you can take advantage of using the Google+ Hangouts service. If you enjoy chatting directly with your friend and hearing their voice, you can use Google+ Hangouts to call your friend's home or mobile phone and chat with them.

Steps

Part 1 of 2: Connect your Google+ account

1. 1 Turn on your internet browser. Double click on the icon of the browser you prefer.
2. 2 Go to Google+. Once the browser is launched, type plus.google.com in the address bar at the top of the screen and press the Enter key. You will be taken to the Google+ home page.
3. 3 Sign in to your Google+ account. Enter your Google / Gmail username and password in the appropriate input fields, then click "Login" to access your account.

Part 2 of 2: Call

1. 1 Click on the Hangouts icon (quotes). It is located in the upper right corner of the Google+ home page. The Hangouts panel opens on the right side of the page.
2. 2 Open the search bar. Click the magnifying glass icon at the top of the Hangouts bar to open the search bar.
3. 3 Click on the phone icon located on the right side of the search bar. This will allow you to enter phone numbers in the search bar.
   • If the person you are calling is located in a different region, click on the flag icon on the left side of the search bar and select the country that you want to call from the list that appears.
4. 4 Click on the phone icon located after the number entry line to make a call. The Hangouts window will open and the number you are calling.
5. 5 Wait for a call. As soon as you connect, you will have the opportunity to talk to the person whose number you dialed.
6. 6 Hang up the call. Click on the red phone icon in the Hangouts window when you're done talking.

Tips

• There are certain phone plans for Google+ Hangouts.
• You can call any number, even if it is not in your contact list.
• The call quality depends on the speed of your Internet connection and the signal quality of the mobile phone of the subscriber you are calling.
