Not getting the Dragon Sword in Dark Souls is up to indiscretions. The Dragon Sword is the most powerful weapon that you can easily get at the beginning of the game if you know how. So read on to find out how to get through the early stages of Dark Souls with ease.
Note: Dark Souls is an RPG game for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. It is the sequel to the popular game Demon Souls.
Steps
1 Prepare to fight the Red Wyvern by purchasing the necessary items from a dead merchant in the City of the Dead. The merchant can be found next to a bonfire in the City of the Dead, below two hollow warriors with spears and a crossbowman, not reaching the place with hollow warriors with bombs. After you defeat the spearmen, break the boxes and go down the stairs. In the right corner of the room, you will see a bookcase. Be careful, as there is a dead man with an ax behind him. Exit through the doorway in front of the stairs and a merchant will be waiting for you on the balcony. If you do not have a bow, buy it from the merchant for 600 souls and several dozen arrows, the cost of which is measured from 3 to 50 souls apiece. 
2 Reach the big bridge after defeating the Taurus Demon boss in the City of the Dead. After running past the tower, from which the Taurus Demon jumped out, you will find yourself in a place with the knight Soler from Astora on the left and a large empty bridge on the right, on which there will be several hollow ones. 
3 Walk across the bridge, thus causing the Red Wyvern to appear. When you start walking across the bridge, after a while you will see the appearance of a wyvern, which will scream and immediately burn you into a crisp (along with all the hollow ones on the bridge). In order not to die, try to run back to the beginning of the bridge. You are doomed if you don't do it fast enough. 
4 Run to the center of the bridge. This will cause the wyvern to spew fire on the bridge, but you will notice a flight of stairs to the right. If you're fast enough, you can get here before the wyvern kills you. 
5 Quickly jump down the stairs before the wyvern can kill you. Now you will find yourself under the bridge, in a room with two exits, far from the wyvern attacks. 
6 Enter the door leading under the bridge. You will notice a series of bridge arches and small paths on each side. The door on the left will lead back to the bonfire in the City of the Dead. 
7 When you follow the narrow path, kill the two hollows under one of the arches. One hollow warrior with a sword and one with a spear. 
8 Look for the Red Wyvern's tail. When you stand on the right side of the arch, where you killed two hollows, you will see a wyvern tail swinging to the right side of the bridge. 
9 Get the bow and arrows that you bought from the merchant in the City of the Dead. Do this by entering your inventory and putting a bow on your character's left or right hand, and placing arrows in the quiver slot. 
10 Enter aiming mode. This can be done by taking out the bow and pressing LB on your Xbox 360 controller. You will see a large crosshair on the screen showing where the arrow will fly. 
11 Aim for the wyvern's tail. Given your distance and the weight of the arrow, you will have to aim slightly above the tail to hit. In addition, you will also have to subtract a good moment to shoot, as the tail will swing quite quickly. 
12 Wait for the wyvern to return to its position. After shooting the wyvern in the tail, it will fly to the bridge to find you. After some time, she will return to her place to guard the bridge, and the tail will be in its original place. 
13 Keep shooting the tail until you get the Dragon Sword. Continuing to shoot at the tail, after about 20 shots (determined by the weapon damage reading and the size of the arrows), you will see an inscription on the screen saying that you received the Dragon Sword. Congratulations!
Tips
- Instead of going straight under the bridge and hitting the wyvern's tail, consider going through the second door and activating a shortcut back to the City of the Dead bonfire by pulling down a ladder. Thus, if you accidentally die, you can easily return under the bridge from that bonfire.
- Be aware that the Dragon Sword does not increase its level with the growth of the character, but only improves with the dragon scales.These scales can only be obtained from certain bosses like Hydra, so do not use the Dragon Sword in the later stages of the game.
- In the early stages of the game, the Dragon Sword is very powerful. Holding it in two hands and using a power attack, he creates a shock wave in front of you, thereby causing tremendous damage, which, of course, wears out the sword itself. You will need 16 strength points to carry it in one hand, however it is a good idea to have a spare sword with you at all times. Among other things, the sword also gives + 10-20% to the souls that are obtained from killed opponents.
- You can use the wyvern attack to collect a large number of souls. If you climb the stairs from the shortcut from the City of Undead and stand on the bridge so that the wyvern starts spewing flames, it will kill Hollow and give you 300 souls each time. By doing this over and over, you'll get an easy source of souls early on in the game.
- The hunter class, which you can choose at the beginning of the game, will provide you with a bow and arrow from the start, then you will not have to buy them from a merchant in the City of Undead.
- Instead of a bow, you can take a crossbow. Such a crossbow can be dropped from hollow crossbows in Undead City and Undead County.
- Walking past the Red Wyvern and even killing it is quite feasible. Just shoot her from the tower in Undead County (or from the lower bridge, although it will take you about 300-400 arrows!) Or wait in the niche opposite the stairs of the bridge and when the dragon comes down, run past him and he will fly away. Although you will receive 10,000 souls, you will miss your chance to receive the Dragon Sword and collect souls from the hollow ones on the bridge. There will be another bonfire under the dragon and another entrance to Undead County.
Warnings
- Don't forget to grab more arrows before trying to get the Dragon Sword. If you run out of arrows and return to the merchant to buy more, the wyvern will regain its health and you will have to start all over again.
