In this article, we'll show you how to insert fireworks into an iMessage. This method will only work if the message is sent from iPhone to iPhone.
Steps
1 Launch the Messages app on the iPhone. Click the white speech cloud icon on a green background.
2 Tap a conversation to expand it. If you want to start a new conversation, click the pencil-shaped notepad icon in the upper right corner of the screen, and then enter the name of the recipient of the message.
- If you have an unnecessary conversation on the screen, tap the backward arrow in the upper left corner to return to the main page of the Messages app.
3 Enter your message text. To do this, tap the text box at the bottom of the screen and use the onscreen keyboard.
4 Press and hold the blue arrow icon. You will find it to the right of the message text box. A list of effects appears on the screen.
- If the button is green, you or the message recipient are using an SMS messaging app, not Apple's Messages app.
5 Click Display. You will find this option in the upper right corner.
6 Swipe from right to left four times. You will be taken to the Fireworks effect.
7 Click the blue arrow icon. The message will be sent. When the recipient opens it, the text appears in front of a fireworks display.
Tips
- On the Screen page, you can select other effects such as lasers, balloons, and confetti.
Warnings
- Apple is adding new effects, so you may have to swipe from right to left a different number of times to get to the fireworks.
- For the recipient of the message to see the fireworks, their iPhone must be running iOS 10 or later.
