By using the phases of the moon in your magic, you will add more power to your rituals. To go through one cycle, the moon needs 29.5 days, and each phase has its own energy. This ritual should be performed on the waxing or new moon. You can choose these rituals when the moon is truly "new", or when you see a small month in the evening sky.
Steps
1 Decide exactly what you expect from this ritual. New Moon is a great time for new beginnings, search for love, recovery or renewal of old events. Write down a few words or phrases that reflect your hopes. If you want, prepare or search for the words that you will say during the ritual. 
2 Find a suitable place for the ritual, preferably outside. If you are unable to perform it outdoors, make sure that you are comfortable performing the ritual in a room where no one will disturb you. Purge the room with suffocating smoke (sage is ideal) or incense (to name a few - the scents of lavender, lemon balm and calamus are associated with the new moon). 
3 Prepare the altar, decorate it the way you want. Use something that matches the elements, feathers or incense - a container or small bowl of water - a stone or a handful of earth - and a candle (white or silver) to show the fire. 
4 Recall and invoke the energy of each spirit in the correct order. Fire is in the south, Water is in the west, Earth is in the north, and Air is in the east (Note that the order changes depending on the path). - When you have reached the place of peace, it is time to read or say a few words that represent your hopes. If you like, you can light a piece of paper with these words in a candle flame. When it burns out, imagine that your words are accepted, and together with the smoke, they will come true in the Universe.
5 Give thanks to the energies and "close the door" of each element that you have invoked. The ideal option for closing the ritual is to say, "No one will harm, improving my charm" ... "May it be so, by the Power of Three" or simply "Be Blessed."

- Write this ritual down so you know what to do in the future.
- Remember, Craft is ... craft. It takes time and practice, and then you will have the right technique, so do not be discouraged that the first times you may not succeed.
