Microfiber is a material made from extremely fine man-made fibers. It is useful for making absorbent materials such as plate towels, cleaning cloths, etc. They are very easy to keep clean, as you can see by reading the tips here.

Steps

Method 1 of 5: Cleaning the microfiber cloth

It makes sense to keep cleaning wipes clean!

Method 2 of 5: Using a washing machine

  1. 1 Wash separately from clothing and laundry. Cleaning wipes will be particularly dirty and should not be allowed to transfer onto your clothes.
  2. 2 Remove stains. Perform this step as needed - if you are not worried about the stain on the napkin, proceed to the next step.
  3. 3 Wash in hot water. The most difficult dirt can be removed with hot water. Your washing machine will also benefit if the dirt is pushed out by the hot water.
  4. 4 Hang the tissues on a tumble dryer to dry. These wipes can be tumble dry, but why waste electricity when air-drying is fast enough and you don't need to use a full load to dry just the cleaning wipes?

Method 3 of 5: Manually

  1. 1 Wet each napkin. Then rub each wipe with a paste made from baking soda and a little water. Let it settle for an hour. In addition, the baking soda will absorb odors and begin cleaning the tissue.
  2. 2 Fill your sink with warm, soapy water. Dip napkins into it and rub gently with your hands. Remove all the baking soda paste and any dirt that rises with it.
  3. 3 Rinse. Use your choice of cold or warm water for rinsing.
  4. 4 After rinsing, add a few drops of lemon juice to each napkin for a fresh scent.
  5. 5 Hang to air dry. They will become beautiful and clean again.

Method 4 of 5: Very Dirty Microfiber Cloths

  1. 1 Throw away all the dirty, oily, greasy, etc.e. wipes in a bucket of hot soapy water. Use a simple dishwashing detergent as the soap.
  2. 2 Let them stand overnight.
  3. 3 Drain off the water the next day. Rinse.
  4. 4 Throw in the washing machine. Wash these wipes separately to avoid transferring dirt, oil, etc. Add a little more detergent than usual (but do not put too much detergent in the hopper, this could damage the washing machine). Set the hot wash mode.
  5. 5 Remove and let the wipes dry.

Method 5 of 5: Cleaning the microfiber towel

Microfiber towels are often used on hiking and sports activities to wipe sweat, dry, or keep equipment and kitchen utensils clean.

  1. 1 For towels that are used to dry the body, use the normal washing process described above for microfiber towels (machine or hand wash).
    • If you want to machine wash towels with your clothes, place them inside a laundry bag to separate the towels from other clothes. This will stop the transfer of fibers from the clothing to the towels.
  2. 2 For towels that are heavily soiled or oily, use the method above for very dirty microfiber towels.

Tips

  • Stains on microfiber products usually do not affect their ability to clean, remove dust, or absorb moisture; it is more an aesthetic issue than a practical one.
  • Micro-suede also belongs to the microfiber family.
  • If you still want to use a dryer to dry your microfiber, turn on the low heat setting to simply spin the microfiber (otherwise you risk melting it).And dry it separately - if another fabric is added at the same time, then the lint will settle on the microfiber napkin, etc. Which will kind of make washing pointless!

Warnings

  • Do not use fabric softener on microfiber cloths; this will clog the space between the fluff and reduce cleaning performance and moisture absorption.
  • Do not use bleach on microfiber cloths; this will break down the fibers and reduce strength.
  • Do not iron microfiber cloths. This will melt the fibers.
