Tips
- The Internet connection will be publicly available to other computers over a local area network (LAN). For a network adapter connected to a local network, a static IP address of 192.168.0.1 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 are set
- If you are using a cable, then a shared computer will have two LAN slots.
- You also have the option to assign a unique static IP address ranging from 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254. For example, you can assign the following combination of static IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway:
- IP address: 192.168.0.2
- Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
- Default gateway: 192.168.0.1
