You will be very surprised to learn that teachers really like the sincere expressions of appreciation from their students. Writing a thank you note to a teacher is an act that will be remembered for years.
Steps
1 Start your note with a date and a greeting. Example: Dear Mr. Do:Write the date and greeting December 7th, 2012 Dear Mrs Stewart, - 2State the purpose of the letter / note.
Example: I am writing to thank you for your help with college preparation over the past semester. State the purpose of the letter / note December 7th, 2012
Dear Mrs. Stewart, Thank you for teaching me how to write in words. Now I write small capital letters much better.
- 1 Show your personality. Think of one or two specific examples where the teacher helped you understand difficult material, and mention the situation.
Example: I really appreciate the time you have taken to help me write the recommended college letter. According to the results of the examination board, the recommended letter was the reason for my admission. In addition, you helped me to tune in to the educational process. You instilled in me some great teaching skills that will come in handy in college. Remember how you stayed with me after class to help me write my research. I am grateful to you for teaching me to work much harder than before.

Tips
- It is better to refer to a specific example than to rely on pompous generalizations. A clear description of the difficult process of memorizing "Rules against indefiniteness" will tell your teacher more than the general phrase "You helped me so much."
- Remember, the note should be short, but meaningful. Your thoughts matter.
- Pay attention to grammar and spelling as you write your note, even if it's just a thank you note to your math teacher.
- Contact a specific teacher personally.
