1. 1 Ask a little about in-house vacancies. Start by finding out if your company has branches that could help you move abroad. If you already work for a multinational company or with global brands such as Microsoft, Oracle, Apple, Motorola, Unilever, P&G, Kraft, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, McDonalds, KFC, and more, then this is certainly possible. Check the database of internal divisions of the company and you will find many branches around the world. Once you have found a job you are interested in, use human resources to inquire about it and find out how to get the job.
2. 2 Do some internet research. If you do not work for MNC or want to completely switch the field of activity / industry, then you need to search for something new on the Internet every day and methodically. This can be done by leveraging the most respected job databases in the target country and focusing on where your credentials, language ability and work visa are supporting factors. 3. 3 Assess your language skills. Adjust your language proficiency by specializing in a specific destination country. If you need to start learning another language, make all the necessary preparations.
4. 4 Organize official documents and any required permits. Prepare your documents for a work visa and check if you really need a sponsor in the country you are planning to move.
5. 5 Be open and emotionally prepared to take a roller coaster ride as you hunt for jobs, and go through your adaptation period as an expat. Even without knowing the language, the easiest job you can get is teaching your native language in your chosen country. One has only to decide to take a step, embark on an adventure and get ready to test new heights.
6. 6 Help your family adjust. Decide with your family members whether to move abroad on your own or with your family. Children especially need extensive preparations, mainly at school age; over time, you will need to do credit transfers and the like.
7. 7 Become an entrepreneur. Look on the bright side: this could be your chance to start your own business by offering your services in the target country. For example: you have the opportunity to become a hip-hop teacher, or open a liquor store for the diasporas in a foreign city, or found a club, or conduct classes in a fitness club (knowledge of the language is usually not important here), or open a flower shop and a demo class on floristry.
8. 8 Expect to pledge time and money at the same time. Last but not least, be prepared to invest time and money in the country even before receiving a specific job offer at a company where, naturally, a local candidate is often preferred instead of giving you a package of benefits for relocated employees.
