Lost the key to the secret wheel bolts? There is a way to unscrew them without a special key. Save money on your new key by using the method described in the article.

Steps

1. 1 First, look for the key in the glove compartment, in all the niches on the center console, in the trunk, and under the seats.
2. 2 If not found, you will need a ratchet wrench and a set of collar bits.
3. 3 Take a wrench that is one size smaller than the slots on the bolt.
4. 4 Using a hammer, drive the bit onto the secret bolt.
5. 5 When the bit is already in place, unscrew the security bolt with a ratchet wrench.
6. 6 Repeat for each bolt.
7. 7 Ready!

Tips

• Be careful not to hit the tire or wheel with a hammer.
• Ask your authorized dealer how much a new key will cost.

Warnings

• If you hit a wheel or tire with a hammer, you can damage them.
