This article will show you how to record a duet over a friend's Tik Tok video and how to post it to your profile (on Android).

Steps

1. 1 Launch Tik Tok on Android. It is a black icon with a white musical note.It can be found in the applications menu.
2. 2 Find the video you want to record a duet over. Find recommended videos on the feed, or go to a specific user's profile and find one of their videos. To find the video of the user you follow, you need to do the following:
   • Touch the white icon in the lower right corner.
   • Tap the Following button on your profile page.
   • Tap the friend you want to record a duet with.
   • Find the video of the friend you want to record a duet over, and tap it. The video will open in full screen.
3. 3 Tap the button Share (Share). It looks like a network of connected circles on the right side of the screen. In the panel that appears, you will see the sharing options.
4. 4 Select an option Duet (Duet). After that, you will be taken to the video creation page.
   • Note that this page will only appear if you already have an account, so create one if you haven't already.
5. 5 Record a duet. Tap the video camera button at the bottom of the screen to record a duet over your friend's video.
   • You can apply various filters and effects to your video. Search the internet for articles on how to create a Tik Tok video if you want to learn about all the video creation features.
6. 6 Tap the button Next (Further). It's a red button in the lower right corner of the screen. You will be taken to the "Post" page.
7. 7 Tap the red button Postto post the video to your profile.
   • Before publishing a video, you can add a title to it.
