Starting in Windows 98, the taskbar provides quick access to your favorite programs, open programs, and the Start menu. Some users prefer not only to resize the taskbar, but also to reposition it.

Steps

1. 1 Right click on an empty space on the taskbar. In the menu, find "Dock the taskbar". If this item has a checkbox, click on it to remove this checkbox.
2. 2 Left-click on an empty space on the taskbar and hold down this button.
3. 3 Drag the taskbar to the desired location on the screen: left, right or up.

Warnings

• Moving the taskbar can change the position of the icons on the desktop. Even if you place the taskbar in its original position, the position of the icons on the desktop will not be the same.
• Make sure the taskbar is not pinned.
