This article will show you how to change the language of a YouTube page. Changing the language on YouTube will not affect the text that the user enters (comments or descriptions for the video) in any way. Language settings cannot be changed in the YouTube mobile app.

Steps

1. 1 Go to YouTube. Enter: https://www.youtube.com/ into the address bar of the browser. If you are already in your account, you will find yourself on the YouTube home page.
   • Otherwise, click on "Login" in the upper right corner of the page, and then enter your email address and password.
2. 2 Click on the profile icon in the upper right corner of the home page. A dropdown menu will then appear.
3. 3 Press Settings. It's near the bottom of the drop-down menu.
   • If you have a classic YouTube design, click on the gear under your name.
4. 4 Click on the dropdown box Language at the bottom left of the page. After that, a list with supported languages ​​will appear on the page.
5. 5 Choose language. Click on the language you want to use on YouTube. After that, the page will be refreshed and all the text will be translated into the selected language.

Tips

• If you have a newer version of YouTube on your computer, click on "Language" (not Settings) at the bottom of the profile drop-down menu, and then select the language you want.
• YouTube mobile will use the default device language.

Warnings

• The language of the text the user enters cannot be changed.
