1 Click on the Facebook app.

2 Click on the menu button. These are three horizontal lines that are located in the lower right corner of the screen.

3 Open up Settingsthat are at the very bottom of the page.

4 Open up account settings.

5 Press General.

6 Press Email.

7 Press Add email.

8 Enter your email address and password in the appropriate fields.

9 Click on Add email. The address will be added to the list of email addresses linked to Facebook.

10 Click on the button Deleteto remove the email address. This button is next to every non-primary address.

• You cannot delete the primary address without first changing it.

11 Click on the option Basic contact detailsto change your primary address. You will be taken to a page where you can click on any linked address and make it the main one. You will use this address to log into Facebook and the service will send notifications to it if you have them enabled.

• With your primary email address selected, enter your Facebook password in the box below and click Save.

Method 2 of 3: Android Mobile App

1. 1 Click on the Facebook app.
2. 2 Enter your email address and password. If you haven't automatically signed in, enter your email address and password.
3. 3 Open the settings menu. Click on the icon on the far right side of the navigation pane. It looks like three horizontal lines lying on top of each other.
4. 4 Click on the "Account Settings" option. Scroll down until you find the Help & Settings section. Click on the "Account Settings" button. This button depicts a silhouette of a man with a gear at his shoulder.
5. 5 Click on the "General" option. It looks like a gear. You will be taken to a new menu with your contact details.
6. 6 Click on the "Email" option. A new window will appear with all the email addresses you've linked to Facebook.
   • If only one email address is associated with your account, that will be the primary email address.
   • If you want to delete an email address, click on the "Delete" link next to it.
   • If you already have multiple email addresses linked to your account and you just want to change your primary email address to another, go to Step 9.
7. 7 Add a new email address. Click on the "Add Email" link. Enter your new email address and password, then click Add Email.
   • Facebook will send you a confirmation email with a specific number. Open the letter, find this number and write it down.
   • Go back to the email address setup screen and click on the "Confirm Email Address" link. Enter the code and click "Confirm".
   • If the letter did not arrive, click on the "Resend confirmation email" button to send you another code.
   • If you want to change your email address, click on the Change Email Address button to make the change.
8. 8 Click on "Account Settings" -> "General" -> "Email".
9. 9 Click on the "Primary Email" button. You will be taken to a new screen where you can select your primary email address.
10. 10 Choose your main address. Click on the email address you want to make your primary. A check mark will appear next to your choice.
11. 11 Enter password. Enter your password in the text box and click the Save button. Your changes will be saved.

Method 3 of 3: Using a computer

1. 1 Go to Facebook. Click here or enter www.facebook.com into your browser to go to the Facebook site.
2. 2 Enter your email address and password. If you are not automatically logged in, enter your email address and password.
   • If you have forgotten your credentials, click on the "Forgot your account?" under the password field. After that, you will be taken to the password recovery page.
3. 3 Click on the downward-pointing arrow. This button is in the upper right corner of the screen. By clicking on it, you will open a new menu.
4. 4 Select "Settings". It's near the bottom of the menu. You will be taken to the General Account Settings page.
5. 5 Click on the "Contact Information" field. Here you will see a list of registered email addresses. The primary email address will be marked with a radio button.
   • You can also change the parameters of the email address using the "Edit" button, which is located to the right of the "Contact information" field.
6. 6 Click on the radio button to select your primary email address. Radio buttons are located next to each associated email address.
   • If only one email address is linked to your account, it will be the main one.
7. 7 Click on the link "Add another email address or mobile phone number" (optional). Enter your new email address and password and then click on the "Add" button.
   • Facebook will send you a confirmation email that you need to open to confirm the change.
   • To save changes, you must enter your account password.
   • If you want to delete an email address, click on the "Delete" link next to it.
8. 8 Click on the "Save Changes" button. The email address you choose will become the primary email address associated with your account.
   • Facebook will send you an email confirming the change.

Tips

• Although Facebook allows you to link multiple email addresses to your account, only one email address can be the primary email address.
• If you are unable to sign in to your account, follow these steps to resolve the issue and regain access to your account.
